To Wash DH's Stuff With Mine

My NDN invited me over for coffee this morning and a woman I've never met before was telling me that she washes her DH's underpants separately from the rest of the washing, as she "doesn't want her stuff to be contaminated with his pants".

They have children, so it seems that she's been "contaminated" by contact with her husband's body more than once in her life.

AIBU to think it's weird? I wash our clothes together. I thought everyone did.

That is nuts. I do all our washing together.

She's being weird. I would think children's underwear is much more likely to "contaminate" other people's clothes, but I wash that in with mine too.

I heard on the radio once a woman saying something along the lines of that she irons her husband's underwear because men's underwear is unhygienic and even after washing and needs the heat of the iron to kill the bacteria 😁

LOOL Thanks for the laugh😂

Well, nobody in this house has ever caught anything from contaminated washing.

My dh likes to cut the labels off as he finds them annoying. So lots of fun sometimes working out what programmevto use.

I cut labels off, too.

Oh GRIM!

This is all I can think of, that she fears the massive poo stains will result in her clothes swimming around in poopy water and coming out tinged in poo. But even washed alone, surely she'd still be conscious of I'll the poo being washed around the tank

I have banned DH from washing anything of mine because he takes no notice of washing instructions.

Ditto. I have also banned my DH from ironing anything of mine as well. He has a habit of pulling & stretching t-shirts flat widthways while they are still damp, and ironing them from side to side. They end up all misshapen and six inches shorter in the body than they were before.
