Quite attractive? I'm a 30 year old woman so he is a little out of my usual age range but there's something about him I find really attractive. Maybe it's an attraction due to how clever the man is, I'm not sure. I can't be alone in this?

OP posts:
CosyFanTucci · 31/12/2022 16:21

He is a classic example of a thick person’s idea of an intelligent person. He’s an intellectual fraud and a fake who just knows how to push people’s buttons, as evidenced by this thread.

Amberfromcamber · 31/12/2022 16:23

I've only heard of him recently and have listened to some of his stuff online.

So far there are topics I agree with him on, topics I expected not to but it has given me something to think about, and then clearly other stuff that I have not yet come across that I don't like the sound but have yet to listen to myself so need to before I take a view on that.

These days there is too much that you either have to agree with everything or nothing someone says..

But coming back to the OP, no I wouldn't, he is too intense and emotional for me even if he was single.

He's a pseudo-intellectual misogynist. I'm not sure what's sexy about that.

I've not heard a misogynistic word out of him. Can you provide some examples?

WinterFoxes · 31/12/2022 16:25

Notimeforaname · 31/12/2022 15:01

I think he's brilliant. Hes helped change my life, at home but especially at work.

I hated him at first when I heard clips my partner would play in the background about 5 or 6 years ago.
Fell for the shocking quotes and snippets taken out of context. Took the time to really listen to him and read up on him and as I said he's helped my life in so many ways and opened my mind to so many things.
People treat me differently now based on how much more assertive I've become the difference in remarkable.

Some women are thick enough to not understand this, that’s the issue
Comments like this I have to laugh at. Of course anyone with a different opinion MUST be thick. I'll have to remember that next time I disagree with somebody.

I agree he spins a good yarn of common sense pop-psych self-care - but it's bargain basement stuff. Loads of people have said it before him, with just as much clarity and greater depth, without needing to disrespect half the planet in their next breath.

Has he said anything that heals/helps your life that is original to him? That no one else says better and before him?

I mean, this.

Notimeforaname · 31/12/2022 16:27

I’ve decided to believe the top few posters are being sarcastic because I can’t quite accept that some women would be thick enough to fall for this guy’s bullshit.

Ive decided to believe that anyone with a mind so small they cant understand another woman having different beliefs, opinions and experiences to theirs, must absolutely be as thick as two short planks🤣

"Someone disagrees with me so I will deny their existence/reality"

Makes perfect sense and not thick at all.

Octomingo · 31/12/2022 16:28

I find these jp threads really weird. There are always a few posters posting the same kind of thing. It's almost like a co-ordinated thread, with a load of hero worshippers posting in very similar styles.

Notimeforaname · 31/12/2022 16:33

Has he said anything that heals/helps your life that is original to him? That no one else says better and before him?

No I didn't say that. And I didn't compare him to anyone else?
I'm literally just saying listening to him and reading his books has changed my life for real.
Does it matter if anyone else has said it before? I'm sure they have I'm not denying that but he was the one who helped me change my life with fantastic results. That's all.

It’s the second result…

Exactly, seems I am not the only one that it doesn't come up for..

Notice I didnt call you 'thick' because it wasn't on my page @CleoandRalf but you Automatically thought to name call instead of understanding that someone else might see something different..

Notimeforaname · 31/12/2022 16:40

Yes it's funny, those who like him will just be stating why they do, those who dont like him will call the other posters thicks and men
😂Its very telling when someone has to resort to name calling to try to make their opinion be "the winner" or the one and only correct view.

It's like they have no concept of what opinions are and how they differ from person to person.

yadaya · 31/12/2022 16:41

Much of it is directed at an audience, that for many, have lost their way in modern life and need some sort of structure. Why would you begrudge that?

Because his idea of structure isn't favourable to women.

paintitallover · 31/12/2022 16:45

Yeuch Yeuch Yeuch! Awful man. And he uses the internet to good effect; he always has, promoting his conspiracies. No doubt it pays.

Notimeforaname · 31/12/2022 16:45

Because his idea of structure isn't favourable to women.

Try to not speak on behalf of me please. My life is much, much better since I've adopted some of his techniques and thought processes. This is simply a fact.

Fair point.

A combination of sound bites, rhetoric, and seasoned car salesman.

I'm truly interested in how it made your life better.

Good for you.

But it's also a fact that his idea of structure and society isn't favourable to women as a group.

What works for you as an individual doesn't necessarily work on a group level.

Yuk

😂😂😂😂

you took the words out of my mouth!!!

I don’t hate him but I’ve never heard him say anything profound either.
