Quite attractive? I'm a 30 year old woman so he is a little out of my usual age range but there's something about him I find really attractive. Maybe it's an attraction due to how clever the man is, I'm not sure. I can't be alone in this?

OP posts:
mumonthehill · 31/12/2022 15:06

He is an awful man. He is however a clever word smith and it is this that seems to get him a following. He had said these awful things, even if your argument is that they are taken out of context, they were still said by him and they are still dreadful.

Meggymoo777 · 31/12/2022 15:06

OP, I'd say he's all yours... he's a misogynistic hateful bastard

Sparklesocks · 31/12/2022 15:08

Notimeforaname · 31/12/2022 15:05

Always think his breath must be honking with that diet of his.
Actually, hes says he has cured his gum disease since being on the diet so if anything it must smell better 🤣

Yeah I don’t believe that for a second. His bowels must be a bloody nightmare.

Hearmeout · 31/12/2022 15:10

If I was looking for a hook up with him or any other man for that matter it wouldn't be to talk through his beliefs it would be to satisfy myself sexually and get out of there.

I can see where you're coming from OP.

You and I can be thick together 😆

Supernormative · 31/12/2022 15:10

Yes he's very attractive. Both physically and intellectually. He also seems to have a high degree of emotional intelligence.

Notimeforaname · 31/12/2022 15:12

Yeah I don’t believe that for a second. His bowels must be a bloody nightmare

😂I cant say I've ever thought about anyone else's bowels before really.

I fully accept people hate or dislike him, there's loads of people I cant stand but I cant deny the fact that what I've learned from him has truly transformed my life for the better. 🤷‍♀️

LaLuz7 · 31/12/2022 15:13

housemaus · 31/12/2022 14:27

He's a pseudo-intellectual misogynist. I'm not sure what's sexy about that.

This. He's yucky.

Stompythedinosaur · 31/12/2022 15:15

He's disgusting. If he was the last man on earth I would let the species die out.

I do not shag men who support sexual slavery.

That’s good for you. Anything that makes your life easier is no bad thing. OP posted about a controversial figure so obviously there will be mixed views. Agree to disagree, I just think he’s deeply thick and anyone who claims the best way to live is to only eat beef isn’t a person I take particularly seriously. ¯\(ツ)

Cherryblossoms85 · 31/12/2022 15:17

He's a wanker

Yeah, no I couldn't be touching that, I'm veggie.
But as you say anything that makes your life easier is no bad thing.

Eleganz · 31/12/2022 15:21

He's a smooth talking pseud who brow beats women to make misogynistic points that are used by other men to justify violence and oppression of women.

I suggest your pick-o-meter needs a recalibration OP.

FictionalCharacter · 31/12/2022 15:22

CleoandRalf · 31/12/2022 14:28

Some women are thick enough to not understand this, that’s the issue

True. I find him to be a pretentious prick, spouting shite about things way outside his area of expertise and getting away with it because he says it with such confidence. Nothing attractive about that.

Not surprised those who are pro JP are also unable to use Google.

here you go, top result when googling what that poster wrote

www.theguardian.com/fashion/2018/may/23/jordan-peterson-public-intellectual-isnt-clever-violent-men-monogamy

Googling the quote doesn't come up with the interview it also didn't come up with that guardian article which again isn't from his mouth if you bother reading it, it's a journalists opinion on another interview he apparently did with the New York times, which the snippets the journalist has taken from the original writer don't sound like they are coming from an impartial view.
Google gives no links to the actual interview this was said in, not even a small clip.

Critical thinking isn't googling then taking a journalists word for it or some random off the internet, it's listening from the horse's mouth and the context it's said in and what was said before and after.

From finding Peterson's blog he did after his interview with NYTs seems he felt his points were misconstrued and that he wasn't advocating enforced monogamy.

It seems these days you are considered 'thick' if you have the 'nerve' to ask questions and don't want to rely on some randoms from the internets world view but want to hear from the actual source..
I like to seek the truth not maintain my views on others perceptions. 🤦🏼‍♀️

jays · 31/12/2022 15:35

Totally get it but I do think he’s end up crying for days on end like Bruce Willis did in Friends

Googling that quote brings up the guardian article, maybe you don’t understand how the basics of the internet work, I’m not surprised

It doesn't for me when I copy and pasted it, no idea why, I don't have a reason to lie about that but even so it's not going to help me to evaluate what he said is it, becauset it's a journalists point of view from another interview he did which isn't impartial.
Thats not critical thinking.
Sorry if you think people are thick for critical thinking.

Mynameiselvispresley · 31/12/2022 15:43

The thinking girls Andrew Tate. 🤨

Not for me. Fill your boots.

He resisted his university's demands that he should be compelled to use gender-neutral pronouns.

The quote does not bring up the interview because JP has ensured he only has the interviews he chooses accessible. Unless you disbelief several major media sources, it is pretty clear he has expressed these views, then attempted to cover it up.

If you think he is clever than you have bigger problems than just finding him attractive.

Yuk

THIS. God, he is not a tenth as clever as he thinks he is, and his only real skill is self promotion.
Apparently you can fool some of the people all of the time.

He resisted his university's demands that he should be compelled to use gender-neutral pronouns.

Enough to make him some kind of hero amongst the hard of thinking around here, then.
He's a huge misogynist and so very far from being on the side of women. But carry on seeing through that single lens.
