To try and pop this lump?

I’ve got a horrible lump on the back of my ear, obviously I can’t see it but DH said it looks like a massive zit. It’s about as big as an M&M - it’s getting painful now.

GP surgery is closed until 6th Jan. it doesn’t warrant an emergency appointment - I’ve got some sterile needles, should I just pop the fucker?

The doctor could see it

1 antibiotic in and it’s already reduced in size and gone all soft - such a relief!

Abscess on a man’s flank - on incision 2 l of custard came out.

Many years ago when I was a junior surgeon I made the school girl error of injecting local anaesthetic around an infected sebaceous cyst before incising and draining it. Some went into the cyst, the pressure rose and the cyst contents exploded via the punctum ( small hole in the top) 10 years of foul stuff shot out and hit me in the face and hair. I had to finish the days work with my hair stinking. Never did that again…. 🤢😷😫

Yes pop it. It’s an ear cyst, very common.

Aw, you're such a good sport. And can I say I had a back operation and I went from being able to walk five minutes to being able to walk for as long as. Forget the Olympics, it's you surgeons and anaesthetists that really rock. We can honestly never thank you enough. 💐🍷👏❤
