You wake up one morning and everyone has disappeared. You’re completely alone - you have the whole country to yourself.

Everyone else will come back eventually but for a few weeks, it’s just you.

You can do whatever you want with no consequence. Tear-arse down the M1 at 100mph, have a wander around Buckingham palace … what would you do?

And tell me I’m not the only one who has this daydream?

How would you know everyone else is gone? And how would you know they would eventually come back?

I wouldn’t last the 2 weeks… I’ve discussed the possibility of a zombie attack with my H
DH (in jest!) and I’ve told him to throw me in the zombie crowd to give himself a few extra minutes to get away.

Would you not worry that no one would actually come back, and you'd be alone for ever, until you died?

I'd have DH with me and I'm sure we'd have a blast before real life kicked in!!

I could mooch around the beach for fossils. There will be no shrieking children and nobody will ignoring the prominent and frightening signs warning people to stay away from the cliffs. I often have to scurry off if it's nearly high tide due to the risk of land slips, and as the only person I could be worry free 😬

I've had this as a dream, but it was terrifying!

I've had this dream a lot but lasts forever not a couple of weeks and dh is always there too, it's basically my dream dream 😂
If it was just a couple of weeks, I'd be tempted to break into a bank 😂 also mooch around some mansions, get my Rightmove fill in person.

I don't like this idea.

I fantasise about it being permanent, barring my close friends and family.

I'm definitely an introvert, but I'd hate this.

When I think of a perfect day, it would involve time with my son and the lady who I go to for massages, so I'd need them around, at the very least  And since my teen doesn't go anywhere with me if there's not food involved, I'd definitely need staff to be present in whichever restaurant we were going to

I don't think there's anything appealing or funny about the idea of making everyone else in the world disappear.

I don't think it's a fun fantasy. I think it's suggestive of something quite wrong, mentally, tbh.

Not everyone has to agree with you.

I'd be at New Scotland Yard rummaging through the 'closed for 30 years' /secret files.

I know at least one name on that list.

I'd wander round Windsor Castle then I'd go to MI5 and look through all of their files too.

Then, when everyone came back, I'd drip feed my 'knowledge' onto MN!

Christ, maybe OP should go to their GP and address these concerning fantasies?
