The Promise by Girls Aloud is the most perfect pop song in the world. Change my mind

I love really good pop songs, by that I am not talking about lyrics, singing ability, deep relevance in terms of zeitgeist, I mean you hear it, you sing it, you want to hear it again. It makes you happy when it comes on.
Other Contenders for me are;
Love Sex Magic- Ciara
Sweet Dreams my LA ex- Rachel Stevens
Candy- Robbie Williams

I mean they're not up there with the White Album and Rumours but they're perfect examples of the genre.

Please don’t ask for a source but I seem to remember some “scientific analysis “ being brought to bear on this question and in fact the answer was “Whole Again “ by Atomic Kitten.

Oh gosh really? Interesting. That song makes me want to cut my ears off, I have to turn the radio off if it comes on!

Whole Again was co-written by Andy McCluskey of OMD (he was also responsible for putting Atomic Kitten together in the first place).

OMD also did their own version but I do think it was ever released commercially

There’s definitely something about some of the one hit wonders (or close) — like Crazy For You, I Am (The One And Only), MMMBop, and even a few by bands like B*witched. It’s that perfect light pop song with just the right uptempo beat, key change etc.!
