Were couple in M&S queue cunty fuckers?

Really busy in M&S today, I just had a couple of items to buy. I glanced down the queues and picked the one that looked quickest. There was a big shop on the belt but only one person queuing with one item in her hand.
Just as there was room for her to put her item on the belt her partner turned up with a trolley. I’m not exaggerating to say this trolley was loaded as high as it was possible to load it.
So Aibu to think it is not ok to hold a place in a queue like this?

so you walked around looking at several lines, joined a line that you thought was going to be quick and it wasn't, this happened almost instantly as there was only the one person infront of you?

Just join another fucking line, like how can you be mad enough to post on here over such an utter non issue.

Bluekerfuffle · 02/12/2022 15:48

Well I was all ready to tell you it’s unreasonable to call people cunty fuckers, but I changed my mind, that does sound annoying.

DeeofDenmark · 02/12/2022 15:49

@mam0918 by the time the first person in the queue had got all her big shop through I had been waiting quite a while.

I had this happen once in Sainsburys. I joined a queue with woman in front of me with one item on the belt. I went to put the next customer bar thing down to unload my shopping and she sort of drew a square in front of her and said, "My husband is here." I said, "What?" and she said, "My husband is here with a trolley." I started to laugh as it was so bizarre, at this point her husband tried ot push past me with a full trolley and I laughed even louder. She got really angry and stomped off taking her husband with her.

I’d congratulate them on their impeccable timing. It’s only a few extra minutes, I couldn’t get bovvered by it.

IncessantNameChanger · 02/12/2022 15:52

What happens when you have started loading your shopping then someone does this in front of you? I wouldn't unload mine or push it back either. I'd just look gormless, do nothing and let the CF sort it out. Whilst feeling ragey, of course.

So I'm not the only one who reads CF as Cunty Fucker 😂

I thought there must be two different categories of fucker.

jtaeapa · 02/12/2022 15:53

Rude - essentially queue jumping. However, since this is how things are in modern Britain, you need to meet the cheek with cheek. He grinned at you because he knew he could get away with it. You should have said, oh I only have 2 items so please could you let me quickly pay for them?

ImissSclub7 · 02/12/2022 15:53

DP calls M&S: Moron & Stupid. He likes the clothes but hates everything else and I can see how much that messes with his head. Don't get me started on tills. I have managed to fall out with people when waiting to pay, more times than I care to remember. DP knows what I'm like and just says, "don't even think about it". My face must change colour or something, or a vein pops out the side of my temple.

ButterCrackers · 02/12/2022 15:54

The trolley wasn’t in the queue so I’d have asked the checkout person to not let it through. They should wait like everyone else.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 02/12/2022 15:56

I agree, OP - that was a total breach of queue etiquette. Poor show.

Well it depends, when it happened to me it was Christmas and the queues were very long, I had a baby and toddler with me. It's different if someone is there with a trolley and their partner turns up with one or two things I think everyone accepts that but to effectively jump the queue with a very full trolley isn't the same thing at all.

I8toys · 02/12/2022 16:00

Definite cunty fuckers. Did you not put the little barrier thing down on their one item?

I8toys · 02/12/2022 16:03

Ahh I see you waiting to put the barrier down. I'd be fuming and wishing all awful things on them in my head.

SirenSays · 02/12/2022 16:03

Nice smile and a "I've only got these few bits, would you mind if I went in front?" Has always worked for me. Just looking shocked wasn't going to do anything.

TokyoSushi · 02/12/2022 16:05

I can see now why you've gone one level up from the customary 'Cheeky Fucker' - very much so OP!

Nchangeagain · 02/12/2022 16:10

Seems you're not the only one, lol. I'd hate it and would've said something though.

Not sure what is says about me that I always read CF as cunty 😩

OP posts:
badbaduncle · 02/12/2022 16:14

I'd have asked to go in front of them very politely and asked again, less politely if they said no.

fyn · 02/12/2022 16:15

Don’t bother waiting for the self check out, you can scan it all on the sparks app and then just pay on your phone and leave, no queuing necessary.

thehorsehasnowbolted · 02/12/2022 16:16

Yes. Cunty fuckery at its finest

TheOriginalEmu · 02/12/2022 16:17

I don’t think they did anything wrong really. 🤷🏼‍♀️

napody · 02/12/2022 16:19

Ugh, hideous behaviour.

Couples who do the supermarket shop together are irritating enough, but yeah, that's ridiculously rude.

On this occasion OP I think you’re quite right.

SirGawain · 02/12/2022 16:25

They were not just CFs they were absolute entitled wankers!!!
