Anyone else a bit 🤮 about Matt Hancock reuniting with the mistress, after I’m a a Celeb when his wife is back at home looking after his kids that he left when he cheated on her?

OP posts:
Withholdingvitalinfo · 02/12/2022 19:34

They are both utterly foul and a disgrace. Did he mention his kids once in the jungle?

Revolting person.

Do you not think that as everyday passes and he moves further into unintended comedic celebrity status that she’s thinking, thank Christ I’m not married to that any more.

That is exactly what i thought , i absolutely cannot see what any woman could ever find attractive about that man.

Doesn't that go for lots of people though. I can't imagine what any woman could find attractive about Boris Johnson, Andrew Bridge, Mark Francois. I think BJ has been married 3 times and MF twice, amazes me. Each to their own.

Doubt it, she looks blissfully happy to me, they both do.
This is the mantra of the dumped - ‘s/he’ll regret it!’
Except it’s very often not the case.

Funny that because once they realise the grass isn't greener they usually come back with their tail between their legs. At which point you've moved on and realised what and complete and utter waste of space they are and send them on their way. My experience and experience of countless other women I have spoken to about it.

Cherrysoup · 02/12/2022 23:25

Singing Ed Sheehan in the car en route to the hotel was cringe, clearly the gf thought so too. The whole coming out bit on I’m a Celeb was just ick.

Depends on the circumstances. Theres a huge difference between leaving your partner in a mid life crisis for someone 20 years younger, who will likely get bored of you, and finally getting an opportunity with someone you have been keen on for years. GC and MH are similar age, background and interests, she's attractive and comes across as fun and positive, and was possibly way out of his reach when he didn't have the trappings of his status, so could well be his dream come true. She could tire of him I suppose. But often people who've got together in these situations are more invested in sticking with them so it feels like it was worth it.

Apparently no one knows how Matt Hancocks stbxw feels on the situation, apart from the people that keep saying it.

I don't want to live in a world where what Matt Hancock has done is not distasteful. The guy is odious.

Quite!

So many people on here defending the indefensible! He should have spared his DC and refrained from goIng on the programme in the first place!

And although you don't want spurned wives or husbands holding a grudge for years and years, eighteen months is nothing in the scheme of things! People must think long term relationships which produce DC are pretty disposable if you get over their implosion in under two years. Especially when it's done in such a public manner.

Worst of all though is he way he keeps saying "oh I fell in love" as though he has no control over his actions at all! It's just a way of shirking responsibility for them.

Don't know why you quoted me to say that? I've no idea how she feels and made no comment on her feelings, just a general observation that APs can end up happy together and there's some indicators MH and GC could. Of course we don't know that either. The whole thread is speculation.

Ladyintangerine · 03/12/2022 15:18

That gets my goat as well.

I would like to bet that there are very few posters on this thread, in committed relationships, that haven't had an 'attraction' to another person other than their partner.
The difference is that most people who value their relationship don't act on it. It isn't wrong to be tempted, but it is to succumb.

And there is always a choice.

Affairs don't 'just happen'. They are devised, planned and executed by two people with the express purpose of deceiving others for their own perceived benefit.
Being 'in love' isn't a reason to blow up your partner's life. Ever.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 03/12/2022 15:19

I have no idea how Mrs H feels, although if she's anything like me she's thinking 'what the hell did I see in that man for all those years?' what I can say is that the only person behaving with any sort of dignity is Mrs H.

Newgirls · 03/12/2022 16:03

On the coming out show she seemed so out of his league (and embarrassed by him).

ex wife i hope delighted not to go through that farce

I thought that too.
He looked like a nerdy school boy with a crush on the pretty popular girl.

Addickted2NC · 03/12/2022 16:07

Mrs H is way more attractive than Cola but then so was Dianna vs Camilla. These men when they see something they see it, beauty in the eye of the beholder and all. Or as that bitch in Bridget Jones 1 said: Strange what some men find attractive!

LadyWithLapdog · 03/12/2022 16:12

What annoys me is that I instinctively think of MH whenever I step into an Oliver Bonas shop (it’s founder was Gina’s husband). I really don’t want to be thinking of MH when I wait for my train at Victoria station.

starfro · 03/12/2022 16:14

They look really happy together. It's really nice to see a loved-up couple in their 40's. We all know that half of MNers hate their husbands and cannot stand to see happy couples.

I think Matt is lovely, very intelligent, and just comes across as down-to-earth.

Yeah, shame about a few kids who had a landmine detonated under their lives and two people who saw their marriages publicly and humiliatingly explode but hell, it's just collateral damage and nothing must stand in the way of true lerrrvvve.

Abraxan · 03/12/2022 16:19

No they didn’t have to make a show of themselves but I’d say they’re a better judge of that than anyone on MN.

But they are so in love. They wouldn't have been able to prevent themselves even if it might have upset his children (and estranged/ex wife) at home. It was real love and all that, he did tell us several times after all.

Stranger by far what women find attractive. I wouldn't compare the looks of the two women in this situation on principle. But I'm happy to compare them to MH, and say he's lucky either of them gave him a second glance.

Abraxan · 03/12/2022 16:22

I think Matt is lovely,

Wonder if his wife thought he was lovely when he and Gina were filmed and splashed all over the front pages.

Wonder if his children this he is lovely when they were woken at night to be told he is leaving, and having to face school after their dad's photo and video was all over media. Or when he was publicly kissing his new girlfriend on TV, hand on bottom replicating the infamous video.

Did care home staff think he was lovely when they were dealing with the covid crisis under his guidelines and instructions?

Or was he lovely when he handed over lucrative contracts to his mates?

But yes, lovely man.

Enfys1982 · 03/12/2022 16:34

Hmmmm allegedly Gina wasn’t his only extra marital dalliance, the difference being he got caught this time and how he so blatantly ogled Jill Scott’s bottom on the reunion show it won’t be long before he’s at it again

starfro · 03/12/2022 16:36

Given how well he did in I'm a Celeb, Matt is clearly very popular with the British public, both for his efforts during the Pandemic and his influence on wider politics.

Views to the contrary are proven to be very much the minority.

Ladyintangerine · 03/12/2022 16:37

I'm curious as to how you know this? 🤔

LadyWithLapdog · 03/12/2022 16:37

Starfro - don’t you get the day off? Have some self-respect and lay off the PR.
