A treat from an M&S

Is not a free loaf of bread?
Are things that bad that a loaf of bread is now considered a treat?

I have absolutely no idea but could it be down to how much you shop there?

Are you a frequent shopper with a highish spend?

Other than that is it just luck? Who knows?

I would be interested to hear from those who got the gin!😋

Much excitement on my Facebook today. I got a bottle of gin and got very excited. Posted about it. Totally non-scientific but based around my circle of friends (all over the UK) there were two bottles of gin, a box of florentines, some Percy Pigs, Christmas lights, two hand creams and some chocolate footballs.

I shop regularly at M&S because it's near work so I pick up bits for lunch but it's a fiver a couple of times a week type spend (weekly shops are Aldi/Tesco!). I was very surprised to get the gin (and ended up wandering into work at 8am carrying it which looked a bit dodgy!). The lady at the till told me she'd given away loads of bottles already by the time I got in.

My friend got the gin! Her Mum got the chocolate balls and I got handcream lol x

Got the gin. Peaked on day one

I got the Christmas lights. Big local high street M&S. They had none in 🤦🏻‍♀️

Apparently if you unlock every day (even if you don't collect them) you get a special present at the end.

This is the catch, even if you get a decent treat offered you aren't guaranteed it will be in stock in your local store and it's not like you can add to an online order. My nearest store is a small 'simply food' but last year I made a special trip to the big store about fifteen miles away when I got a decent offer (may have been candles) but them having no stock. 🙄I expect if you get the good treats like the gin further along in the calendar you've much less chance of it being in stock.

My day 1 was a bag of Christmas Percys so at least I should be fairly sure of them on the shelves, even our small local branch is usually overflowing with Percy! 🐷

Well I was feeling really chuffed with my light up tea bag tin until I saw folk had gin!

I don't drink it but would make a great gift for my Dsis.

I am such an ungrate!😅

I was very happy to get the light-up gin - my colleagues got Prosecco, Buck's Fizz, hand cream & Percys...

Oh I'd love the tea bag lantern, fingers crossed...

Lights here. I was picking up an online order in the morning so got the lights as well. they are nice, just perfect for DD’s bedroom. I would rather have them again then hand cream or Percy pig.
but my real love belongs to cheese bread…

I got chocolate coins - huh.

I've had several loaves of bread, which have been lovely. And saved me having to buy bread for school lunches! I've had a couple of bags of cookies, a smoothie and a robin to hang on my Christmas tree. Not to mention 20% off nightwear, footwear and jeans. I got 15% off jewellery too. I think it's all great!

People I know got the gin, hand cream and florentines. I got the shortbread tin and so I didn’t rush to collect it, hoping to get something else over the weekend so I can go next week in my lunch break.

I didn't realise you didn't have to collect it same day, just activate it. As it takes me 40 minutes walk to get there then 40 minutes back that will save some time.

I got a Percy Pig tree decoration. I shall live in hopes of gin for a future date
