Uber stealing Asda orders

Sereyah · 12/11/2022 09:38

I’ve had a terrible time ringing around this morning as I ordered from Asda online and Uber are stating they delivered my order an hour ago. They didn’t and I’ve searched the whole property (70,00 order and 8.50 delivery fee). All stuck isolating and I have cigarettes in there which have to use I.d. For so they have to knock for my date of birth. I’m so annoyed as I’ve used most of my funds with me not getting paid until next Friday. They are now stating I have to wait 24-48 hrs to hear from someone and that’s before I even get to have them refund me. It’s unfair as I won’t be refunded until next Wednesday-Friday and don’t have the spare cash but that’s if they refund me; they are refusing at the moment. I’ve looked on Facebook and it’s a common pattern with Uber drivers stating they have delivered orders or have kept part of the orders stating the full delivery

OP posts:

Why did you order such a big shop from Uber in the first place? You realise they inflate the prices of the products on there?

It would have been cheaper, both on delivery fee and all individual items, to order same day delivery from Asda.

Unfortunately all you can do is wait and see if they refund.

SpinningFloppa · 12/11/2022 09:50

They did this with me when I ordered from
coop said the driver knock on the door and no one answered but he didn’t

tenbob · 12/11/2022 09:53

Obviously they shouldn’t be stealing orders but if you can afford to buy cigarettes, you can afford to lose it. You were literally going to set fire to that money anyway so it’s nothing critical, is it?

moistmingemist · 12/11/2022 09:54

Report it as not delivered you'll get a refund.

ObjectionSustained · 12/11/2022 09:58

@tenbob come on now, don't be ridiculous.
There's a whole food shop there and you're picking at the fact OP bought cigarettes too? Just because she smokes doesn't mean she can afford to lose £60 worth of shopping.

OP, I've had nightmares with UberEats myself and would never use them anymore. Have you got Twitter? When a driver stole my takeaway I complained on there and got it resolved much quicker than just going through the app.

The fact that you can't speak to anyone when things do go wrong is diabolical.

I hope you manage to get it sorted.

Found the twat

Propertyporn · 12/11/2022 09:58

This entire thread will be filled with judgey Mcjudgey pants posters coming to tell you that you deserve to starve for having ordered cigarettes 🙄

That sounds shit op, could your neighbours have taken the order in?

Have I missed the bit where she ordered £60 of food?

How is that helpful ffs? You can't always get same day for a start.

I'd go to your bank/card provider op and see if they can stop the payment. Uber are dicks and it's really hard to get a quick resolution from them.

LikeTearsInRain · 12/11/2022 10:04

Sorry to hear about your fags and food. Hopefully they will investigate and get it sorted. Don’t use the service again in future. Maybe best to order direct from Asda or even to use bus/taxi to get there and back yourself if you don’t drive?

ObjectionSustained · 12/11/2022 10:05

@tenbob yes, you clearly have. She did a £70 shop.

Too busy judgmentally jumping down the posters throat about smoking. Maybe actually read the post next time.

£70 order and at least one pack of fags… Could be 5 packs of fags and one bag of crisps..!

It doesn't matter. OP can order what she likes and expect it to be delivered.

OP I hope you get it sorted.

They're isolating. So obviously not. Unless you could sustain yourself for 7 days on a packet of crisps?

Stop reaching. You've already made yourself look judgmental and self-righteous.

Isthatascratchonmygrandmother · 12/11/2022 10:10

Not the point of the the thread but i don't know how you can part with that type of money through uber. They bump cigarettes up to about £16 ! Madness. Hope you get sorted though OP! How frustrating.

No it's not the point of the thread.

MynameisJune · 12/11/2022 10:19

Has it crossed the minds of those judging the OP that she’s probably pretty desperate if she’s paying Uber’s inflated prices.

It doesn't even matter why she wanted to pay uber really. They shouldn't steal from her

JustCheckingItsMine · 12/11/2022 10:22

I was talking to a lady in a well known bakery chain yesterday, she said the Uber eats drivers steal the orders all the time and it’s an absolute nightmare as the shop gets the complaints

StickySnotBalls · 12/11/2022 10:24

Christ there are some knobs on here this morning
I hope it gets sorted @Sereyah
