You know that someone can be beautiful without being pretty? It sounds as though you have striking looks and are beautiful, but need to work on your self confidence.

Please don't let this comment get you down. It sounds like this person is quite jealous of/intimidated by the way you look. If you were not attractive, she probably wouldn't have said anything at all.

My best friend is gorgeous. She gets called elegant attractive. She looks identical to Michelle Dockery. She often complains no one says she's hot. She isn't sexy but she is beautiful. Embrace what you are.

I used to be jealous of how refined my best friend looks and her jealous of the fact I am called hot. We have different vibes. Don't waste time wishing to be someone you aren't. Plus not everyone will find you attractive. We all like different things.

Agree with this . The comment is borne of jealousy, I'm guessing you are considered highly attractive at your work and this person is bothered by that. Ignore it and any man who deliberately insults their partner is a dick, I would assume insecurity on his part.

I also have a very gaunt face. It's got worse as I've got older. I feel a bit self conscious about it and would probably hate if someone commented on jt. It's quite a rude comment to make.

Men and women. It's happened to me lots of times. They just randomly tell me . I'm same as OP great big eyes and petite. Really suffered with it when younger but always got lots of attention and went out with some lovely handsome men. It's sad that people feel they can do this especially to a young girl. Generally model like women get better with age, whereas pretty women lose 'it'. The softness and glow of youth contribute to 'pretty'.

People with good bone structure can sometimes look a little raw or awkward at times, but photograph brilliantly and age really well.

Youth can be hard on them, because they don't necessarily fit what's fashionable. They can be a bit too 'stand out' for comfort, especially if they are tall.
