I don’t like people

What the hell is wrong with people? I know you do get good eggs out there but let’s be honest, there’s too many bad ones to retain much faith in humanity. Tonight, outside my house, there’s been a man & his mate walking up and down, shouting abuse down a phone. Really aggressive & scary.

Talked to a lady at my local supermarket today who says all staff now wear cameras due to the threat of abuse, physical & verbal from customers. People on the news, committing terrible crimes & acts of violence against one another, children caught up in it all. People at work slagging each other off & sticking the boot in where they could just do the mature thing & shut the fuck up/get on with their work. Putin murdering thousands of innocent civilians. Some complete nasty piece of work shouting abuse at a child in a theatre. Like, who the actual fuck does this???? Any of these things?

AIBU to feel like this about the human race? What an absolute disgrace we are.

A lot of humans do some dreadful things, I agree. I think seeking out and concentrating on the good people out there - and ignoring the rest - is the only way to cope with it all. Listening to beautiful music or reading amazing books helps too, because someone had to make them. We are a wonderful, awful, selfish, selfless, creative, destructive, crazy species.

A lot of people are wankers. Why are people still randomly setting fireworks off in the street/residential areas? It's not bonfire night you morons.

Most people make me feel like shit to be honest, sometimes even the ones I'm close to.

I prefer crows. I befriended a couple and they introduced me to their baby in the summer. I leave them nuts and they leave me random bits of twig.

Plenty of idiots out there but also some great people too.

The post's title is what my child says when he sees other kids. So we're currently working on that one.

People are shit, and are 100% responsible for all the shit that goes on.
However, you do have to sift through a lot of crap to find the good people. They are worth it tbh.

Although there are some lovely and kind good eggs out there, unfortunately there are many more who aren't.

There are nice people out there just think about them.

The issue is the news etc won’t show you positive stuff cos that don’t sell. However my mobility scooter fell in a roadwork tying near side of road like a small hole as they hadn’t put proper signage in and to late and I fell off and do you know people helped they stopped traffic and got me a blanket to keep warm until ambulance got me up. I also got my purse stolen from supermarket trolley one day and a geezer ran after him and got it back. The issue is social media etc gives you a negative impression but you must remember that there are good people about and sometimes your sens of negativity can be screwed by seeing only negative stuff,

Funny enough most of the people I find rude and obnoxious when I’m out and about are men.

Im currently divorcing a bullying and arrogant man, so I know I’m biased.

I tend to agree with this, although it does depend on my mood. And it’s not that people are intentionally making me feel bad, I’m just left feeling at best underwhelmed, at worst utterly depressed, in my interactions with most people.

We’re just socialised animals at the end of the day, to varying degrees of success. Flip it and think about how far we have actually come, evolutionarily speaking, it’s incredible.. and yet so agonising that we will fall at the final hurdle.

Just remember that for every 1 idiot there are about 100 decent people in the world.

The idiots just have a way of making it feel like there’s more of them.

I once worked at a nursery where the owner allowed two siblings to attend over their free 15 hours, totally free of charge, because the family were going through a really rough time.

Quite recently I was pleasantly surprised when I had accidentally booked theatre tickets for the wrong day. This is a mistake I’ve made before (how stupid to do it twice) and was told by a big theatre that it was too bad. Rang up the theatre this time and they were so understanding, helped me swap it and were really nice. Small thing but made a huge difference to me.

Lots of people do lots of nice things. Some people are arseholes. Most people realistically are somewhere in between.

If anything I’d suggest that the horrible people stick out to you specifically because they are behaving in a way that we understand is not socially acceptable.

This is so lovely. I hear crows are very intelligent.

How do I befriend a crow please? I would love this.
