AWFUL NAMES TO CALL YOU CHILD...

I dont think there's anything people get more worked up over something that is none of their business than what someone has or wants to call their child.
With this in mind, I thought it might be fun for people to nominate some really bad names they've heard friends or relatives have given to these poor little children.... Whats the worst you've ever heard?
Who knows... this page might be inspiration for some pregnant ladies out there!
Have fun!

I think it's lovely toasted! And absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with my obsession with Sherlock Holmes and Arthur Conan Doyle, oooh no, I'm not one to call their children stupid names because of parents obsessions.

Thank goodness his first name is rather more grounded and again, has absolutely NO links to Arthur Conan Doyle!

MotherofTitus: "My son is called Titus. His name really suits him, and we think it is a fantastic name and have never had any negative comments."

They'll call him "Duck's Arse" at school, of course.

fishie · 29/01/2008 22:26

ubergeekian. what a bloody rude and silly thing to say.

greensleeves. 17.03. exactly. they are NAMES not the fucking ESSENCE OF THEIR BEING.

Janni · 29/01/2008 22:27

zoepoey - lovely names

A word of warning though: My Dutch neighbour, with whom I attend a P&T group, heard the name Faith pronounced in a strong cockney accent and was convinced the child's name was 'Fife'

Here are some of my faves:

Elvis, Zeus, King, Rollo.

Paying homage to climate change: Sunray, Rain, Breeze, Rivers and Rainbow. Sweet

Janni · 29/01/2008 22:38

The Rollo I knew sank his teeth into my son's arm. It might have coloured my view slightly

Saturn74 · 29/01/2008 22:48

"Dd3's middle name is the name of my favourite female literary character, not a popular or classic name either. Lots of people hate it but I bloody love it".

Hatrick, it's not Bovary, Trunchbull or Chatterley is it?
Cos that's just mean!

(Although Chatterley would suit DS1 down to the ground)
