Just read a thread where someone has 16 in a 4 bed house, several people were shocked they had so many. So how many do you have and what size house?

3 bedroom 3 storey house here with 16 radiators so I don’t think the same amount in a 4 bed is a lot but maybe my house has above average number of radiators.

1 kitchen
1 downstairs wet room
2 living room
1 hallway downstairs
2 middle floor landing one each end hallway is long and wide 4mx2.5m
2 middle floor back bedroom
1 middle floor bathroom
1 middle floor front bedroom
1 3rd floor landing
2 3rd floor bedroom
1 en-suite
1 dressing room

14 and a log burner. Four bed house.

PurpleButterflyWings · 05/11/2022 19:25

13 in a 3 bed home. So 16 in a 4 bed sounds reasonable.

Crazymadchickenlady · 05/11/2022 19:27

12 I think in a four bed house

Ohhelpicantthinkofaname · 05/11/2022 19:27

One in each room except the living room where there’s two. 3 bed house.

Murdoch1949 · 05/11/2022 19:27

11 in a 4 bed 2 storey house. Cosy, if I ever turn the radiators on again!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 05/11/2022 19:28

Our last house was 5 beds, 2 bathrooms & a downstairs loo & we had 13 radiators & a wood burning stove. Previous to wood burning stove had an open fire
(Personally I thought 3 loos was a bit too much)

Then downsized to a 3 bed 2 bathroom & an en suite & we have 8 radiators plus a heated towel rail.
No wood burning stove but a pretty to look at electric realistic looking open fire thing on the wall.
It's so realistic looking that even with just the lights/picture bit switched on but not the heat bit, the cat lies in front of it.
It actually makes you feel warm even though it's just an illusion tricking your brain.

9 in a 3/4 bed 3 storey house. 2 or 3 are always off.

But we are super insulated, have MVHR and in the south of England. I put the heating on today and that’s the first time since the end of March.

ChocolateCinderToffee · 05/11/2022 19:29

Six, 2 bed terrace.

fernz · 05/11/2022 19:30

7 in a 3 (or 2 and a half...) bed terrace. The one in the hallway is never on though because it feels pretty pointless heating a space no one spends time in.

Duckseasonrabbitseason · 05/11/2022 19:36

6 in a two bed semi (think victorian terrace cottage)

Front room, middle room and downstairs loo (half size)
Two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs (half size in bathroom)

MikeyFuckinWay · 05/11/2022 19:42

2 (shit) storage heaters in a small 2 bed, both downstairs. Not that I couldn’t to afford to turn them on but if I could they don’t do much to heat the upstairs and we have a mould problem also…

OxanaVorontsova · 05/11/2022 19:43

14 in a 4 bed house with 2 en-suites

Titsywoo · 05/11/2022 19:46

We only have 8 in a 3 bed house - don't feel the need for more! Doesn't get cold as our insulation is very good.

cookiecreammmpie · 05/11/2022 19:48
  1. one in hall, two in living room ( through lounge) one on bathroom, one kitchen, one in each of the three bedrooms.
Outtasteamandluck · 05/11/2022 19:49

15

scaredysquiggle · 05/11/2022 19:50

40 plus towel rads

dwightkurtschrute · 05/11/2022 19:50

5 in a 3 bed house
2 living room
1 each bedroom

I now feel like I’m lacking Radiators!!

ContadoraExplorer · 05/11/2022 19:51

Eleven in a three bed semi. One per most rooms with exception of our extension which has two because its the full width of the house, plus one in the hall. I'd have loved to get under floor heating and rid of the wall ones downstairs but it wasn't in our budget.

AuntieMarys · 05/11/2022 19:51

  9. Bedroom 1
  10. Bedroom 2
  11. Bedroom 3
  12. and 13) Lounge has 2.
Winterscomingagain · 05/11/2022 19:55

19 in a 5 bedroom house but it's feeling pretty chilly here tonight.

shivawn · 05/11/2022 19:55

8, one in every room except the ensuite.

Downstairs hallway
Living room
Kitchen/diner
Downstairs bathroom
Bedrooms x 4

Could really do with a second one in the kitchen/diner because it's a weird long shape.__

Murdoch1949 · 05/11/2022 19:56

Left one out 12 in 4 bed 2-storey house.

bloodyeverlastinghell · 05/11/2022 19:56

12 in a 3 bed, 2 in sitting room and playroom 1 in kitchen and each bedroom, both bathrooms, one downstairs hall, one upstairs hall

SquigglePigs · 05/11/2022 19:58

We have a 5 bed house:

5 = 1 in each bedroom
1 in family bathroom
1 in wet room
1 in master bedroom en suite
2 in hallways
2 in the lounge
1 in second reception room
1 in conservatory

So 14 in total
