AIBU to think this is not tat

Recently purchased this rather gorgeous glass and metal pineapple from our local charity shop. I love it, but DH thinks it's ugly tat. Obviously he's wrong and has no appreciation for it's beauty. Maybe you lovely MN'ers can settle this argument for me.

The kindest possible outcome for him would be if he were to become accidentally blinded by those deadly leaves and never had to gaze upon it again.

Then again, he can't complain too much if he's inflicted a burgundy Buddha on the household.

Wouldn't go with my decor but I think it would look fabulous against a navy-blue wall with these battery lights you put into bottles in the base.

Put a string of battery powered fairy lights in it to make it light up!

Not something I would buy, but I can kind of see the appeal. Definitely get some battery powered LED lights in there!

I Iike it but wouldn't have it in my house which is rustic. Would be great in a retro 60's 70's house.

It's fabulous darling. Do not be put off by those less bold, especially men who have absolutely no appreciation for trinkets and decor..well he doesn't in this house 😁

Nah...sorry. And I say that as lover of most things retro and kitsch but this is just a poor imitation that isn't quite hitting the spot imho.

Is it translucent? Might look cool with some micro LEDs in it.
