I won’t be celebrating but I won’t be crying anything. It’s a shit show. It is now and will be next week. Just trying to get on with it best I can

newnamethanks · 23/10/2022 08:34

Just as I was thinking things couldn't be worse, you top it @thesunwillout 😁

Yanbu

Wouldn't be celebrating.
Would just assume the Tories still hasn't learnt anything - but then again that wouldn't be surprising tbh.

PuttingDownRoots · 23/10/2022 08:35

Laugh.

This has to be one of those hidden camera TV shows now. Any moment the Queen is going to pop up and shout "Got ya!!"

LadyRoughDiamond · 23/10/2022 08:35

Despair …then smile. The ensuing chaos can only end one of two ways:
The Tories are out for over a generation at the next election.
He doesn’t even last that long (likely with the party-gate inquiry starting in November).

FleecyMcFleeceFace · 23/10/2022 08:36

Laugh. The Tories would implode by Christmas and be out of power for a generation.

guinnessguzzler · 23/10/2022 08:40

Be absolutely devastated. The message it sends to bring that lying bag of lies back is one of utter contempt for the public and public office. He is simply not fit.

Rainbowcat99 · 23/10/2022 08:40

In a way I'd celebrate because they're making themselves look more ridiculous by the minute so Labour have a better and better chance of winning the next GE.

tunthebloodyalarmoff · 23/10/2022 08:44

Yay bring him back

Anniegetyourgun · 23/10/2022 08:44

I'd try not to scream because it would upset DS.

The really, really depressing thing will be the number of twits who'll say to me "Isn't it great that he's back?" while I'm at work so it would be extremely career limiting to tell them what I really think.

I don't believe that letting him run his circus again will be bad for their election prospects, either. The twits will still vote for him because good old Boris innit? I'd despair, but things go in cycles and eventually there will be an upturn because eventually there always is. It remains to be seen how much pain we go through first. What I will never understand is anyone looking at him and seeing somebody who is suitable to run a country. Just get him back on telly where he can make people laugh without doing too much damage, that should keep everyone happy especially as I don't watch telly.

Bramblejoos · 23/10/2022 08:45

Probably march in the ensuing protest marches

SugarRaye · 23/10/2022 08:47

🥳

Iwantmyoldnameback · 23/10/2022 08:51

I think in some ways it's best for Labour but I worry about the damage he can do in the next year or so. What I can't bear is the thought of his immoral lying supporters gloating everywhere and boasting about the parties they also had. "just a bitta cake wunnit?"

ThatGirlInACountrySong · 23/10/2022 08:51

Carry on with my life! That's what I'll do ..

User135644 · 23/10/2022 08:52

I'll doff my cap and tug my forelock.

MarshaBradyo · 23/10/2022 08:52

Laugh but not really either celebrate or be down

Hope there’s a break from all the drama for a while

ThatGirlInACountrySong · 23/10/2022 08:53

What March? What protests?

The cost of living protests never really happened did they? Everyone was saying the public will take to the streets.....civil unrest.... nah. Nothing much has happened at all

It's all talk

Fruitbatt · 23/10/2022 08:54

Break open the champagne 🍾

lightlypoached · 23/10/2022 08:54

Make a placard and hop on the train to Whitehall, where I will demand a general election. Smile

MrsLargeEmbodied · 23/10/2022 08:57

ashamed

There is a protest happening on 5th of November, outside no 10, to demand a General Election. It was announced pretty much as soon as Truss resigned. There will be smaller local protests off the back of this I'm sure.

LargeglassofRosePlease · 23/10/2022 09:00

I hope he does…

< gets hard hat and legs it>

I am so brave posting that on this site given the back lash I’m gonna get ! 😂

Galliano · 23/10/2022 09:03

I pray it brings the nation out on the streets to protest but don’t have much hope.
I can’t believe the news that Rishi is in talks with Boris after he supposedly made his opinion of him known in his resignation.

PermanentTemporary · 23/10/2022 09:03

I'm not going to vote because 'not celebrating' doesn't really cover the disgust I would feel.

I've only been on a march twice in my life but when Johnson decided to prorogue parliament illegally was one of them. I probably wouldn't march this time as none of this is illegal - I believe we need a new constitution but I can't see how we get there peacefully.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 23/10/2022 09:05

he is an orator
he has charisma
people like him

i would be shocked if he came back, so soon,
i dont think he will
