Things i’ve learnt as i grew up.
We have very little independant media.
Trust no politician
Trust no political party.
Trust none of the bodies that are supposed to be independant. The ones that are, are few and far between.
Trust none of the quangos that are there for our protection.
Trust none of the huge international organisations that are supposed to be there for our welfare.
Dont trust big business to do anything other than look after it’s trustees, board, executive, shareholders (a shared usually) and sometimes it’s staff.
Don’t trust unions.
See a pattern?
Every single one of the above has an agenda.
Sometimes for the good of common people, sometimes, many people, sometimes a few people.
I don’t think there’s a flat earth, im not an anti vaxxer, yes i voted for brexit.
Why do i say all of the above…
Because i’ve worked within a good number of them, or had to deal with them at some point and seen many people screwed over by them, and the screwed have been fed a narrative that they have been helped.
I keep a special place for the SNP - Independance at any cost or any lie. As a Scot, i’m allowed to detest them.
I’ve rarely met a politician that was not controlled by their officials, nor one that was not indebted to someone or something along the way, if already rich, then just power hungry. (Sunak)
The unions i’ve dealt with, have both been fraudulently corrupt at low levels, or power mad at the top, especially Unite, with nameless execs who can quite simply pickup a phone, and get you into Portcullis House with barely a sentance, and how they deal with their internal illegal activities and data protections, is not how they critique others.
The businessmen i’ve met were focussed on profit, rarely on society, and many were sharks who saw their role as staying one step ahead of the regulations. To be fair i’ve had some great bosses, but on balance, the leaders who were successfull were more cut throat than those who weren’t.
Basically, a working career has left me with a state of mind, that pretty much everyone is just trying to get one over on everyone else, whatever their role, position or poison was. The only good people i met in my career, were the bulk of employees, with families, doing their best.
So have the globalists taken over or ousted Truss et al. No idea. What i do know is that a BOE Deputy stated that this mess was only 25% the fault of Truss and her team. The other 75% was the global economy. I saw that right away, because bond yields spiked everywhere in the world over those early days, and it was only slightly worse here and the Dollar was rising worldwide. The pound has been in decline since 2008. I do know the IMF is run by an ex EU big wig and they don’t want a large growth competitor on their doorstep demonstrating that Brexit was a good thing.I do think it’s hypocritical of Biden to wade in and refer to trickle down economics, when 50% of the population of USA doesnt pay any income tax whatsoever, due to that methodology. Oh by the way Economics isn’t a science, it’s just as much philosophy and politics. Was there market manipulation, probably, but that won’t be aired publicly. As for LDI, as a pension fund trustee, i’ve always steered clear of leverage for making a pension fund keep its head above water, but as always, the tax payer bailed out the banks and the pension funds who just couldn’t resist bumper profits and extra bonuses for their executive members and less employer contributions. We will be living with mess for a decade.
Truss may have have good ideas, i honestly don’t know, i did think when they announced their mini budget, they are either brilliant or stupid, and potentially both, with poor timing. I’m glad she’s gone, hope Boris doesn’t come back, I have a letter from Sunak to me personally, which was rude, arrogant and just like his bio, out of touch, so i can’t contemplate him getting in. A general election? And get labour in? Might as well hand over the asylum to the lunatics.
The globalists haven’t taken over.
Greed and self interest has. Know who is making money right now, the banks. Again.
