In what way? It exposes part of a naked arse, It’s short enough to reveal no knickers and the front drapes low enough to see a whole breast, the netting part is a nod to sexual fetish wear.
People are saying this is suitable for a 16 year old to wear and she should be applauded for wearing it? What?

People rush to be disingenuous on threads like this.

Like I said upthread, every photo of girls I’ve seen, across multiple countries, heading off to proms/balls/leavers’ dances is wearing a dress like the green one posted by the OP, and described as ‘frumpy’ by the disingenuatti.

I agree it’s far more likely a load of key words have been thrown at it, to get more views. It’s not actually a prom dress.

I don’t think something like this is frumpy at all. It’s a shame if girls think that anything not super revealing is by definition frumpy.

I am 42 and I think this is frumpy for my age let alone a 16 yo. There are tonnes of gorgeous prom dresses out there that are lovely, they don't have to be high necked to be appropriate for 16 yos.

Yeah, me too. I never wore anything like that (never had the figure for it) but I wore corsets, tops that laced up at the sides and things artfully full of holes. It depended on where you went but I've definitely seen stuff like this before.

I've also been to fetish/swinger clubs.

I don't know, but it's not a good look. You don't see men going out on a night time in a string vest and a thong. Or skin tight see-through jeggings and nipple tassles.

Yet THIS kind of look is promoted for young women right now. I am no prude, but I think they all look fucking hideous The 'dresses' are minging and the women look dreadful. The saying 'less is more' springs to mind.

I noticed on Love Island this year that some of the young women on there were wearing dresses that only covered about a third of their breasts. Virtually only the nipples were covered sometimes. And the length was about an inch or two below their labia.

As I say, I am not a prude, and I have worn many a mini skirt in my day (got a good pair of pins on me!) but the length was 3-6" above my knee, not 1-2" below my labia. Utterly grim. This kind of look suits NO-ONE.

Here's a few ghastly examples of 'fashion' for young women right now. They clearly think they look 'sexy.' They don't!

No it’s disingenuous to say “ loads of key words are thrown in” to get views. The key words are designed to attract someone searching for “womens, evening dress, party,prom” they’re not random words otherwise you’d see “wedding, work wear, funeral dress, menswear” or whatever.

key words are targeted to an audience of assumed potential buyers.
