Husband drove child at 120mph

Am I right to be upset? DS (10) came home last night all excited because daddy had driven him at 120mph on the (70) dual carriageway.
I'm furious, apart from risking our child's life and everyone else's. He's setting a stupid example for in a few years and DS learns to drive.
H thinks this is reasonable as he's a good driver ( better than anyone else of course) - his words

If people want to put their own lives and passengers lives at risk, you know what I don't care. But you're dickhead driving better not put me and my family at risk. Selfish wanker.

This thread has reminded me of this-

Sickening moment Porsche driver overtook at 120mph before ploughing into and killing pregnant teacher, 34, and her unborn baby as she drove to midwife just two weeks before her due date

At the inquest the male driver’s wife said

“'Ian would never wish anyone harm, which is what makes these circumstances all the more tragic. He was a good, kind man.

'He did drive fast, but not erratically and never took risks.'”

This.

I nearly died thanks to a dangerous driver and have life changing injuries, one of which ironically means I can no longer drive.

It's such a selfish thing to do and says a lot about someone's character IMO.

Willing to take a personal risk? Fine.

Willing to take a risk where other people are in danger too? Not fine.

What a complete and utter prick. He put your kid's life at risk - as well as everyone else on the road, just so that he could show off. I'd have shopped him to the police, taken his keys away, and then told him to fuck right off out.

Just do a Google search of ‘speeding father kills son’ it brings up a few recent cases. Forward the articles to him and ask whether he has any thoughts on what you have sent. None of the fathers in the cases thought their journeys would end in tragedy. He may be the most competent driver the world has ever known but that doesn’t eliminate mechanical failure, other less skilled drivers, oil spillages on the road (that’s what caused my brother’s collision resulting in his spleen being removed and a shattered ankle) or medical episodes had by himself or someone else on the road.

This is appalling behaviour from you both.

Shrugging your shoulders and saying "but he won't listen to me" will be of cold comfort if he kills your child or someone else's.

Wake up op.
