can’t stand the woman but surely she’ll hold on for a bit longer - everyone was saying Boris would go much earlier than he did. And why on earth did they vote her into power in the first place 🙄

I posted about this pre Truss that the Tory’s would go for someone terrible, then when they cocked it all up hand over to Labour for the next 5 years which will be really shitty anyway as every other country is struggling to get up from Covid and Lockdowns.
Then when the world is starting to get on its feet again they are voted in again. Rescuing us from Labour.

Completely blamed the UKs economic shitshow on the markets reacting unexpectedly fast, as if she wasn’t warned it was what would happen.

Personally, I don’t think this will have as much impact on the economy as was predicted before she delivered her speech, she could’ve done more, but didn’t.

She needs to last another 83 days (to January 3rd) in order to avoid becoming Britain’s shortest serving PM. Current holder of the record is George Canning who lasted 118 days in 1827 before dying in office.

Kwarteng, at 36 days has already managed to avoid the tag of shortest- serving Chancellor, which is held by Iain McLeod who died in 1970 after only 30 days
