can’t stand the woman but surely she’ll hold on for a bit longer - everyone was saying Boris would go much earlier than he did. And why on earth did they vote her into power in the first place 🙄

This was one of the big arguments against Brexit all along: EU membership acted as a smallish but important counterweight to some of the social and economic damage the Tories can and will wreak on the country over the next decades with their disaster capitalism (thanks to first past the post) while allowing millions of Brits an “out” to France, Spain etc if things get too bad. Oh well.
