They just chose her to be their leader. They should not get another go at it, they have proven enough times that they have no one suitable.

And I just pray that we get a decent opposition, with reasonable proposals, and not only tory versus labour debate. There are more parties out there. I mean the Liberal Democrats, they tend to sound reasonable to me but they seem to have faded away.

It’s the party that voted her in not the MPs. The party members don’t have to work with her and they will choose someone who they (a v small percentage of the country) like rather than someone who can unite the country/ win an election.
I think the Tories need to change how they choose their leader. This clearly isn’t working for them or us.

I'd honestly be surprised if she lasted that long! Truss was never up to the job - the MPs knew that, but the stupid membership fell for her shallow charms and allusions to Thatcher.

They knew what they were getting. The whole party is incompetent.

There was a conspiracy in one of the newspapers before she even won the leadership vote that she'd win and then be ousted by Christmas as another scapegoat.

I guess there could be some 'evidence' she's broken the ministerial code or something that would force her to quit or be fired.

If they didn’t want her as leader, why did they let her get to the final 2?

Tory party members generally don't vote the same way as MPs. As in my comment above they voted for Ian Duncan Smith. MPs would have voted Ken Clarke.

Boris Johnson is on the way back as predicted.

The leader should be chosen by elected reps no one else, and a three month wait for the shire folk to decide has to change stat.
