to think that if curry with na'an is fine then so is curry on toast?

Although judging by the reactions I received at work, you would think not!

Got to work and colleague said "Sorry if I whiff of garlic, had pizza for lunch" and I said "oh I had curry on toast so I wont notice anyway!" and made a joke about us being left alone as we were both stinky.

The look on her face! She genuinely was appalled at the idea of curry on toast. So I asked if she has curry with na'an bread and she said that that was different.

I am not seeing the issue here. Apart from anything else, the crunchy toast is a nice contrast to the curry texture so is preferable imo, plus left over curry the next day always tastes better than when it is made fresh.

AIBU?!

I like curry inside a lightly toasted pitta. Delicious.

I’ve never tried this. But it sounds wonderful.

I usually chuck any left over saag aloo in an omlette.

bloody delicious

Genius! I’ll try that.

Curry on toast/ in a toastie/ on bread all tasty

Bolognese on toast add cheese - yum

Himalayan cheese toast.

I love toast. It goes with most anything on top.

Curry yuk.

I had left over curry from last night.. a naan and an onion bhaji... and not really enough of anything so I smushed the whole lot together inside the naan and made a kind of wrap out of it.

It was ace :D (And heated in my airfryer in half the time the oven would have taken and without murdering any of it like the microwave would have).

I like a curry toastie too and a curry and onion bhaji toastie, in fact theres not much you can't shove in a toastie, we've done left over cottage pie, left over chilli... if it fits, its toastied.

I occasionally used to have curry toasties.

I think you might be a culinary genius, why have i never done this.

I think the problem with curry on toast is that the toast is absorbant and goes all gooey whereas naan breads keep their texture. Curry on pitta bread would be better.

If your toast is gooey and absorbent, you are doing it wrong. You need to let it cool a bit before you add any topping.

Try leftover curry in a toastie.

I often make samosa filling and bung it in a toastie.

Excellent idea !

Thank you for making me feel less odd!

And for the tip about toasties (why did I never think of that?!)

But now I could MURDER curry on toast and I dont have any! Self inflicted pain I think!
