To think Kate/Catherine, Princess of Wales, is one of the luckiest and most admirable women alive?!

She’s a Princess and future Queen Consort. She’s the wife of a Prince and future King. Mother to Princes and a Princess. Mother to a future King and the British royal family’s future bloodline.

She’s very good looking, wealthy, has a good figure and wears lovely clothes. She has mastered the art of ‘do not complain, do not explain’. So, she comes across very well (such as how she handled this yesterday: Princess of Wales challenged during royal visit to Northern Ireland).

Unlike a diamond, I can’t find any flaws in Catherine, Princess of Wales; she comes across as too perfect to fault! She has it all and more.

There’s a lot to admire because she seems to be the luckiest woman alive. What does everyone else think?

Since she got married she’s been incredibly careful about being seen smoking because it doesn’t fit the image. I know she stopped while PG with PG (and I assume the others too) but my understanding is she then started again.
I am sure that is part of the reason she stays so thin - nobody is that thin doing yoga and “running around after the kids”.

I would love to be able to wear anything like she can but I do think that her face looks quite old for her age - a combo of smoking and ultra low body fat.

@Sonineties Not being sarky, do you know her? If she's not been photographed smoking, how can you be sure she is?

In my opinion Doireann Garrihy is the luckiest woman alive. She's an Irish TV and radio presenter. She's intelligent, funny, pretty, successful with a brilliant career. She always seems to be having fun too!

William and Kate have been criticised on every tour they've been on. The never explain doesn't cut it in modern Britain and scenes like the one below should be explained. William has terrible facial expressions, the way he blows out is awful. Kate has nothing to say off script and moves her head too much from side to side.

With every post this thread gets more ridiculous.

How lovely it must be to be so perfect that you can choose to criticise someone for a facial expression or a head movement.

Goidness only knows what they’d think looking at me when I read some of these posts. My eyebrow rises that much it is practically a little fringe on the back of my neck.

Kate looks as though she can't stand William, if you discount the hysterical laughter pics from a little while ago. Not surprising in the circumstances.

She's being criticised on another thread for the way she held a baby during her visit to Northern Ireland.

Despite midwives, nurses and other mothers saying it's normal/the way they hold their own children, some posters are still insisting it looks odd, shows she didn't spend time with her own children etc.

Why people have to be so nasty towards a perfectly inoffensive woman is a mystery.

I think that Kate and her husband look like a happy couple. Her brother-in-law and his wife don't despite the handholding.

The rumours are based on gossip not accounts. There are constant rumours and gossip about the Royal family, much of it started maliciously. Do you also believe the Queen had an affair, or that Prince Philip had Diana killed, or that Meghan's children were really carried by a surrogate?

I have never seen any indication that Kate can't stand William. Quite the opposite.

Incorrect Arbesque. The 'rumours' are based on accounts of those in their circle who know what goes on, because other members of the circle are involved.

If you watch their interactions carefully, Kate neither looks genuinely happy nor as though she can stand her cheating husband.

This thread is absolutely ridiculous.
Accusations thrown about which no-one can substantiate, nasty personal comments about someone's looks, intelligence, marriage.

Those saying Catherine doesn't look happy - there are literally thousands of photos of her looking very happy, comfortable in her husband's company, interacting perfectly normally and like a loving and involved mother with her children.

Slagging off a woman who appears perfectly decent, intelligent, happy suggests some sort of underlying agenda, and not a good one.

It's utterly moronic to claim you can draw conclusions about the state of a highly public marriage based on the way the couple looks at one another when they are in the full glare of the world's media.

The marriage might be great, it might be lousy, it might be somewhere in between. I've heard the rumours (actually they aren't just rumours they have been reported overseas as fact) and they seem persistent enough to make me suspect there's no smoke without at least a little bit of fire but ultimately I don't know and neither do any of you.

None of this is relevant to this discussion anyway. If her husband is cheating on her it's hardly her fault and she's stuck having to make nice with him unless she wants to risk a Diana-style situation.
