I love her and my under 30s kids love her too. She is a total role model for all women. An absolute superwoman in her career, and so brave to stand up for women’s rights despite all the personal threats to her. She is awesome. I hope she reads this thread!

She's an absolute bloody legend. That huge, juggernaut, unstoppable commercial success that other authors weep about, followed by total commitment to truth and fairness.

She didn't have to do any of it. She could have turned into a massive knob and retro fitted her beloved characters with rainbow identities for huge and easy credibility points amongst young adults. Even if she didn't believe it, it would have been the easy public line to follow.

But she couldn't, because even with her huge resources shielding her from harm, she can't and won't lie.

This is the absolute definition of integrity.

She's amazing. She gives hope to any woman who has struggled as a single parent, or been in an abusive relationship. She gives so much to charity. She speaks out for those who can't due to fear of reprisals, effectively making herself a shield for women and children.

Also, I'm rather partial to both the Harry Potter and Strike books, so there's that too.

The mental load of constantly being in the sights of India Willoughby must be immense.

Brilliant trail blazer for WOMEN FEMALE. Safe spaces are important why should a bloke in a dress get to enter.

It’s a shame there is no other big name who has the guts to stand by her.

People (men) don't like difficult women. She won't bow down to the truth of the impact of trans rights activism on women, children and homosexuals. That is why she is hated and vilified.

I have 2 teenagers in my house, my eldest 16 (male) adores her and agrees with her. But he thinks that gender identity is tedious and navel gazing anyway.

My 13 year old daughter is firmly with the 'be kind' brigade and hates her, which is a shame since she loved the HP books until they were ruined for her by the haters. When I ask her to articulate why she hates her she can't. When I break it down she agrees with a lot of GC views but if I point that out we argue.

What I hate most about what has happened to JKR is the male authors treatment of her, looking at you Pullman and King (to a degree).

I remember getting on the tube maybe 15 years ago and about 75% of passengers in the carriage were reading a Harry Potter book. The passengers were adults. She switched a whole generation on to reading.

Now she's waking everyone (who's listening) up to the erosion of women's rights and the dangers to children. She really is amazing.
