Basically you can have all the custody of the kids if you want but you must separate permanently from your oh and you are both given 5 million each to start again would you do it>?

No, wouldn't for any amount of money.

Runningintolife · 05/10/2022 21:46

No nobody buys control of my choices

TheIsaacs · 05/10/2022 21:46

No.

cutthelawn · 05/10/2022 21:46

Nah. I don’t really mind being skint

are you really skint though? I find that people who say that don't understand true poverty.

No way.

Sage396 · 05/10/2022 21:47

Nope... I don't need that kind of money to be happy but I do need my DP!

Zero19 · 05/10/2022 21:47

I would do it for nothing atm lol we are in the middle of splitting up anyway !

Sidisawetlettuce · 05/10/2022 21:49

Yes, like a shot!

Titsywoo · 05/10/2022 21:49

No way

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 05/10/2022 21:50

Basically you can have all the custody of the kids if you want

Errrrrmmm, how can you both have full custody of the kids if you want?!

And exactly what would the munificent person/organisation stumping up the £10m have to gain for it? Would they just do it because they were rich and could do it? How would they enforce it? Are we basically saying that controlling/co-ercive behaviour is acceptable if the one doing it is wealthy enough?!

Rinatinabina · 05/10/2022 21:50

Could we live next to each other and hang out?

Bloodybridget · 05/10/2022 21:52

No way. But we do have enough money.

ProperSorryFrown · 05/10/2022 21:52

In a hot second.

MynameisJune · 05/10/2022 21:52

Nope, he is my best friend and the one I’m going to, hopefully, grow old and grey(er) with.

Enjoysomerum · 05/10/2022 21:52

To misquote Tim Minchin "if I didn't have dh, I'd probably have somebody else" so yes I think we'd both be happy starting again with 5 million.

LimitIsUp · 05/10/2022 21:52

Yes

cutthelawn · 05/10/2022 21:53

Could we live next to each other and hang out

no hanging out no, you need to see each other at times if you have kids, be civil to each other but no closeness.

katmarie · 05/10/2022 21:53

Not in a million years. He's worth more to me than any money. And him, the kids and I are a family, and a happy one at that. No amount of money in the world would be worth breaking that up.

UserNameNameNameUser · 05/10/2022 21:53

My answer genuinely surprised me slightly, because I moan about him all the time, but no, not for any amount of money.

WorkHardPlayHard1 · 05/10/2022 21:54

Have you been offered this by the inlaws?? 🤣

Somuchgoo · 05/10/2022 21:54

Not for any sum of money.

cutthelawn · 05/10/2022 21:54

fgs it's hypothetical, can you chill out please and stop over analyzing it

MumUndone · 05/10/2022 21:55

I think I would, but I'd miss him.

ShadowPuppets · 05/10/2022 21:55

Nah. Thought about it but tbh no amount of money would guarantee me someone who gets me, makes me laugh, who I can talk to about anything. I have friends who are single or in unhappy relationships and while they have wonderful lives outside of the romantic side of things, it makes me very aware of how bloody chancey it was that I met DH and how lucky I am.
