That's just an awful comment. I have friends who voted remain and leave. My leave voting friends love this country just as much as any of those voting remain. They just had different life experiences that led them to make different decisions.

Voting should be based on data, research and rational analysis if people want to vote in a meaningful way that's likely to improve things. Not on "feelz" and some anecdote about what happened to their neighbour last week or whatever. Even relatively small children can understand that personal anecdotes aren't a rational basis for objective decision making so I don't think we should be excusing adults who still haven't grasped this.
