Inpost -stuck at sorting office

peassandcarrots · 23/09/2022 21:31

Not an aibu, posting for traffic as I'm very stressed.

I've got 5 parcels currently at in the sorting office according to tracking info, all posted in InPost lockers on Sunday and collected by courier on the same day.

The parcels are returned items for a refund, a couple of hundred pounds worth.

Has anyone else been experiencing delays with InPost? Did it get sorted?

I'm currently in the same boat! I've been waiting over a week for my parcel to arrive now :(

peassandcarrots · 23/09/2022 21:36

Stressful isn't it, worrying if they get lost and where I stand getting my refunds

I’m waiting for some Vinted parcels that are coming via inpost and it’s taking ages.

Skidamarinkadinkadink · 23/09/2022 21:37

Ive sold a couple of things of Vinted. And having the same issue!

Loics · 23/09/2022 21:39

Almost 2 weeks at the sorting office here!

Yes I'm also experiencing this at the moment with items stuck at the sorting office.

It seems no one is emptying the lockers. Meaning parcels not being collected and no new parcels being dropped off.
My local locker the screen on the machine hasn't worked for 2 weeks so no one can collect a parcel. I called them to report it and they said it'll be fixed but still waiting.
My friend is also waiting on something.

Something strange going on for sure!

darisdet · 23/09/2022 21:45

Ive been waiting for a couple of parcels via the in post lockers. Well over a week for one.

darisdet · 23/09/2022 21:48

My tracking for both just says 'received in sorting office'

Pigsinmuck · 23/09/2022 21:50

I’ve had 2 stuck for 10 days now!

IamChipmunk · 23/09/2022 21:52

Yes same for me. Ive had a parcel I've posted stuck 'the the sorting office' for 9 days. Ive emailed cutomer service about it this eve.

JesusHRooseveltChristSassenach · 23/09/2022 22:02

Just used them for the first time ever. The next day I saw posts about it!

Sent an item for Vinted. Been stuck 3 days. Was collected within 12 hrs. Getting on my nerves now and I've turned that postal option off.

What is going on?!

Gensola · 23/09/2022 22:03

I sent an item 13 days ago to a buyer on Vinted - it’s still in the “sorting office” at in post. The whole thing is a ridiculous mess.

Eileen101 · 23/09/2022 22:05

Same boat here - 6 or 7 parcels all caught up in the sorting office, some for 10/11 days.
There's a Facebook group recently set up with frequent updates received. Apparently they couldn't cope with the influx after joining the locker24/7 for vinted 🙄

Locker to home deliveries are starting to be made, but locker to locker doesn't seem to be moving at all. The sorting offices must be bursting at the seams.

bluenails2002 · 23/09/2022 22:05

Yes definitely something going on. I've got 3 vinted parcels stuck at the sorting office for over a week but strangely one that was only posted a few days ago was delivered to the locker today

Bessica · 23/09/2022 22:05

Same here sent an item sold on Vinted and it's been sat in the sorting office since the 14th September. Absolute joke! I have turned it off as a postage option. Vinted should cancel the deal with them.

peassandcarrots · 23/09/2022 22:06

I've used lockers before just to return the odd thing and never had a problem.
I wish I'd read about all this before trusting them with so many parcels 🙁

I’ve never had an issue and I use it very regularly, as it can also be used for Evri returns. I do find that for a number of companies, it never actually shows as delivered. Who are the parcels being sent to?

KatherineofGaunt · 23/09/2022 22:15

"Arrived at sort facility" 3 days ago. That's the last update.

Thanks for the heads up - I had no idea things could be delayed - Vinted saying estimated delivery date any day from two days ago to 14th October! Will go and turn off that option; my nearest lockers are not easy to get to anyway.

peassandcarrots · 23/09/2022 22:15

New look, pretty little thing and next

OP posts:
Glitteratitar · 23/09/2022 22:25

I often use it for New Look and Next!

Next never shows it as delivered. In my experience, if they haven’t received it, Next send you an automated email telling you to get in touch.

New Look doesn’t always show it as delivered either. I recently had a parcel sent by Royal Mail which they never processed, but I got in touch and with my proof of tracking they happily refunded.

That's reassuring thank you

Another one with a load of sales on Vinted that are stuck in Inpost sorting office. They haven't moved for days. In addition, two Evri parcels haven't been collected from the inpost locker despite having that locker listed as a drop off point and accepting it when I scanned them. Wonder if they are about to go bust.

peassandcarrots · 23/09/2022 23:02

Does anybody know what happens regarding a refund on a product I am returning if parcels go missing?
I just have a horrible feeling about this.

OP posts:
Glitteratitar · 23/09/2022 23:32

Contact them. They’ll ask for proof of postage so make sure you hang on to the tracking receipt / confirmation, and they should refund you.
