Inpost -stuck at sorting office

peassandcarrots · 23/09/2022 21:31

Not an aibu, posting for traffic as I'm very stressed.

I've got 5 parcels currently at in the sorting office according to tracking info, all posted in InPost lockers on Sunday and collected by courier on the same day.

The parcels are returned items for a refund, a couple of hundred pounds worth.

Has anyone else been experiencing delays with InPost? Did it get sorted?

I've taken InPost off as a postage option from my Vinted items now.
I didn't like the fact it was label-less and like it even less now!

@KatherineofGaunt I think they just cover costs up to the value of £500 the item I sold was a fiver so I presume I'll get my fiver and my buyer will get their fiver back plus the postage they paid after the 'lost' parcel cut off date.

I also dislike the lack of label, it feels like a bit of a risk chucking something in a locker with no address!

Contact them. They’ll ask for proof of postage so make sure you hang on to the tracking receipt / confirmation, and they should refund you.

Tried to contact them, I cannot get through, keep getting hung up on from hold at the 21 minute mark ("nobody to answer your call" ! I've emailed too, no response. It's beyond a joke now.

mynamesnotMa · 26/09/2022 11:27

They do respond to emails Lithuanian.
Parcels held up for two weeks
They might have gone bust

I hope they haven't gone bust. I have three parcels stuck at their sorting office now, apparently. No movement or updates in a while

GimmeSleep · 26/09/2022 11:31

Bought something on Vinted - Inpost have had for 14 days now, arrived at sort facility 13 days ago.

GimmeSleep · 26/09/2022 11:40

I've just turned off Inpost as an option on my Vinted seller account too, hopefully if I do sell anything it'll save the buyer having to wait an age.

PearlWithTheGirlEarring · 26/09/2022 11:41

Another InPost Vinted saga. I shipped on the 8th September. Marked as collected then nothing since.
only a few pounds but something my buyer really wanted.

Umbrellabee · 26/09/2022 12:17

I sold something on vinted on the 12th September, posted in locker that day. Was collected on 16th and has been at the sorting office ever since! Turned it off as an option on vinted now!

doris9034 · 26/09/2022 15:39

Same issue here - I posted an item that someone bought from me on Vinted on 12th September. It's still showing as being at the sorting office...... I'm never using them again!

allof · 26/09/2022 16:02

I selected it as an option as I thought it would be convenient to collect from a locker. I won't be selecting that as an option in future. I hope Vinted are doing something as otherwise they're going to have to process a lot of refunds.

It seemed to be the same lockers as Amazon. I wonder what's happening there.

allof · 26/09/2022 16:33

I've just received this text message:

"We are so sorry that your parcel is delayed. We are having technical issues in one of our sorting hubs. We'll be in touch soon with an update on your delivery."

Noshowlomo · 26/09/2022 16:38

In post is buggered. Was told by vinted to cancel anything that was due to be sent by in post and re list the item.
In post don’t answer or respond to anything. I do think they’ve gone bust 😞

I was about to post this, also had this message! Previous inpost orders are still stuck at sorting office, just making sure I choose either parcel shop or home delivery for any subsequent orders!

Having the same issue this was posted on twitter yesterday

Mclav87 · 28/09/2022 08:26

I'm currently the same 16days now at.sorting office emailed them no reply for 5 days now either

allof · 28/09/2022 10:04

I've just checked and I can no longer see Inpost as a shipping option on Vinted. Unless that's individual sellers switching it off.

allof · 28/09/2022 10:05

Still no updates or movement on the items stuck in the sorting office.

Dannichan · 28/09/2022 13:12

3 weeks here :-( parcel from vinted.

Scarecrowrowboat · 28/09/2022 16:14

One of my items has finally made it to locker. It hasn't updated on vinted but I got sent an inpost locker code! Only 12 more parcels MIA now. I think some will probably be lost forever but a few more might make it.

PearlWithTheGirlEarring · 28/09/2022 16:27

My buyer has received a text from InPost telling her the item is coming but delayed. Hopefully not totally lost then.
Meanwhile I bought a cardigan earlier from Vinted where InPost was the only option and it came with a warning that there were delays in the system.

allof · 01/10/2022 22:58

I've finally picked up one parcel from the locker, but it was the most recently sent. One is still at the sorting office and no update in over two weeks.

peassandcarrots · 02/10/2022 21:28

After 4 long weeks since putting the first parcel in a locker, everything has finally arrived at the destination.

Not a fucking chance will I use InPost again. Horrendous.

OP posts:
IamChipmunk · 02/10/2022 21:32

My parcel has been 'at the sorting office' for 18 days now!!
Im hoping it may eventually move...
The locker I deposited at has a note on now saying you can only collect and not drop anything.
As a pp I'll never use Inpost again. Won't be putting back on my Vinted as a postage option either.

CaptainSamCarter · 02/10/2022 21:32

One of my items I sold has apparently been delivered by Inpost but now the buyer is claiming they didn't receive it.

The same buyer made multiple low offers before eventually buying at my asking price so I am not really sure what to think. Frustrating either way.

xogossipgirlxo · 02/10/2022 21:34

My husband complained to inpost and they sent his parcels. I need to make a complaint about mine too to keep things moving.
