To think alot of you are weird

Clickbait title I know, but on the back of another active thread I'm genuinely curious about this.

I honestly think anyone that doesn't instantly change into comfy clothes (pj's or lounge wear etc.) As soon as they come home are seriously weird. How can you get comfy on the couch in fecking jeans 🙈 I also can't do chores in normal clothes, has to be old pj's.
If I'm not going anywhere for the day then I just shower and get into a different pj set. I can't stand wearing shoes indoors either, so slippers are lined up on the shoe stand near front door.
My kids don't even need to be asked, once they come home from anywhere (shool, shopping etc.) They take off shoes and go change into comfy clothes. I'm in no way a germaphobe, it's not related in any way to cleanliness, its just comfort.

This was not my upbringing, my dad ran his business from our home so there was always alot of traffic at our home, people coming & going. So we always had to be fully dressed, hair neat with shoes on from early morning till evening. He thought, and still thinks, wearing pj's during the day looks dirty or lazy.

So anyway:

YABU - I don't change as soon as I get home, you are the weirdo.
YANBU - yep, always instantly into fluffy socks and stretchy bottoms.

Oh please, don't encourage them - where do you draw the line/
I've had annacident to anarm and been in anambulance.
Would you like alot or alittle bit?
Did you know that milk comes from acow?

I really don't understand this mistake- it's two simple words and shows ignorance in my eyes, yet it's so common. I just did a bit of research and apparently it may be that people have an association with the word allot, even though it means something entirely different and wouldn't be confused in usage.

I can't speak for everyone, just myself, but the mistake often arises from not hitting the space bar "a" & lot and then it not being sorted for me by autocorrect. I find I type way to fast and neglect to proof read ... if it helps I usually feel really cringey reading over my own posts with stupid mistakes ... in this post alone I can see autocorrect put an apostrophe in the opening "can't" and fixed the words "sorted" and "cringey" for me 🤷‍♀️ i suppose I'm guilty of relying to heavily on autocorrect to prevent me from looking like an idiot to people who find it difficult to overlook (autocorrect just fixed idiot too lol).

Anyway I can't say I'll change or do better because I most likely won't. I don't really know what anyone gains by pointing out an obvious silly mistake but considering it's been mentioned a few times, I'm glad I could provide what ever it was for so many. 😊

Yes. Most of my clothes are comfortable but I have my inside comfy clothes. I usually change as soon as I'm home unless I have a zoom meeting (and quite often just leave the camera switched off).

I can't psychologically relax at home unless I'm wearing my comfies. But we did that as kids.

It means I can clean and cook and sit however I like without worrying about staining or crunching or damaging my clothes.

@Twillow

TBH I think it's more likely an inference from "all lot", which actually does make a kind of sense from the connotation of lot meaning share. "A share" => All of the share => alot. It's not correct, but it's not unreasonable, given the examples of always, also, altogether, etc.
