Will Holly walk?

Lots of comments about Holly W supposedly saying she’s going to quit This Morning..do you think she will, why? Would that be a good move?

This is nothing like Flack. She’s been criticised mildly in comparison to what other people get and to be fair, it’s been a long time coming.

I heard some of that pre-recorded explanation. Firstly, I didn’t believe it and secondly, it was sickening! She sounded robotic and I can only assume she was reading it from an autocue.

Whilst Holly was laughable with her mask, I really think that if she goes, then so should Phil. I’m not even mad about this, I just can’t stand him and his golden handshake which makes me switch ITV off. Haha, I really do use any excuse to call Schofield so threads like this are up my street 😳 😂
I’m pretty indifferent to Holly.

That’s very true. Do we want to take that risk though

I'll accept the risk that anyone might kill themselves at any time. In general I'd rather people were free to comment than being subject to censorship.

MorningAfterAnxiety · 21/09/2022 09:45

If a super injunction was taken out against the runner, it's never going to come out though is it? That's if it's even true.

Regarding Holly, I'm not really a fan, but some of the comments on her Instagram and apparently Tattle 🙄are awful. Does anyone really believe she's a bad person? PS, if these rumours are true, is in a totally different league.

thebabessavedme · 21/09/2022 09:45

Regardless of what they might or might not have done why they are still on screen after all this time is a mystery to me, all we have on our tv is the same old same old 'celebs', H&P, A&D, Lorraine etc, is there really no new talent coming through? Its all so bloody boring.

I agree. Where are the new younger presenters coming through? It's one huge ITV presenter clique.

KermitlovesKeyLimePie · 21/09/2022 09:51

For all of those saying that it "was the producers that made em do it guvnor" with regards to the queue thing AND the totally tone deaf win your bills comp is that neither one of them thought "hang on a minute, this is totally wrong and how is this going to look?"

Their whole gig is about image. Now either both of them are too thick and out of touch to have seen the optics of both scenario's or they are so up themselves that they think they are soooooo loved and couldn't possibly be criticised!

They could have said no to both gigs, it's not as if either of them need the money and if they had resigned or been sacked for taking that moral stance, they would have been lauded from the rooftops.

This will end like Caroline Flack if everyone keeps going on!!!

Caroline was very troubled, holly has a life of Riley, she seems completely untouched by anything horrible in life, very smug individual.

She’s smug just because nothing horrible has happened to her? What a strange thing to say!?

LuluBlakey1 · 21/09/2022 10:00

The whole thing is ridiculous and pathetic. It says everything about how pea-brained people in this country are now and nothing about any important issue at all.

Lightningscaresme · 21/09/2022 10:05

They don’t even look phased by it…obviously untouchable

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 21/09/2022 10:07

I think as far as they are concerned it’s all done and dusted. And I think it probably is. They can’t talk about it day after day. Moving on.

JFC - this comment is the pinnacle of the vitriol you’ve shown on here.

slowquickstep · 21/09/2022 10:10

I hope they both o and M&S dump her as well. She is such a smug annoying woman.

The whole thing is ridiculous and pathetic. It says everything about how pea-brained people in this country are now and nothing about any important issue at all.

It also demonstrates how social media enables individuals to live their best nasty life. Same group of people who don’t understand the consequences of a pile on and believe they’re entitled to their opinion no matter what the impact.

As I’ve said upthread, it would make a huge difference if users had to have their real life details included on posts. Not so ‘brave’ then I assume.

Yellowbirdflies · 21/09/2022 10:20

@Twos0ups
You're comment about suicide is unacceptable!
Heartless and extremely unkind.
I've reported it and expect it to be removed ASAP!!!

Twos0ups · 21/09/2022 10:21

she’s got little to be smug about though! Her life is nothing like how she presents it, particularly her marriage

At least try and engage your brain and empathy. Totally get that you don’t like Holly, that’s absolutely fine. But that comment was horribly flippant - and comes across as very “meh, so what” in relation to suicide.

I don’t think I’m the one that needs to “get help”, but thanks for the sentiment.

@Twos0ups How do you know?

OP posts:
Dreamstate · 21/09/2022 10:30

If there was a queue for VIP/Press, good they used it, far better than taking up space in the queue for general public so 2 more of the public were able to join the queue.

Lightningscaresme · 21/09/2022 10:30

It seems to be Holly taking the lead today…she’s clearly stronger than P

Are you not able to understand nuance?

pantsandpringles · 21/09/2022 10:32

I don't care about watching them, so guess what I do?

I don't watch them, or talk about them.

I couldn't care any less about this, or about the Queen dying to be honest. My gran and papa were my heroes and noone threw millions at a funeral and closed all the shops when they died.

It's as sad to me as any other loss of life, and I have respect for her dedicating her life, but at the end of the day, she was just another one of the many people who died that day. No more, no less.

Yellowbirdflies · 21/09/2022 10:33

@Twos0ups
Dreadful response!
And of course I care about others and more than you'll ever know!
I'm not really interested in this debate about celebrities, but your comment about suicide stood out to me.
It's insensitive and uncalled for.
Try and show some compassion.
And others agree with me.
