Tomorrow at 11… every tv channel that exists will be broadcasting the Queen’s funeral.
Except Channel 5.
If you tune in to Channel 5 on Monday at 11 you should expect to see the Emoji Movie.
hilarious or not?

Do you mean you are cancelling Channel 5?

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 18/09/2022 20:23

It's nice to have a choice, not everyone wants to watch it. I'll be watching but I dont understand why it has to be on three out of 5 terrestrial channels, especially BBC1 and BBC2.

Grandeur · 18/09/2022 20:23

Every tv channel that exists? Most will be broadcasting as normal.

FlissyPaps · 18/09/2022 20:23

Get a grip.

LegoFiends · 18/09/2022 20:24

Good for Channel 5.

Maireas · 18/09/2022 20:24

So... Channel 5 isn't cancelled?.

CapMarvel · 18/09/2022 20:25

Why does more than 1 channel need to show it?

Kids will be off, so seems sensible to give them an option beyond mournhub.

Babyorbuffet · 18/09/2022 20:26

If I didn't have Netflix or Prime, I guess I would be watching the Emoji movie tomorrow.

Purplecatshopaholic · 18/09/2022 20:26

Why on earth would all channels be showing the same thing? Not all of us want to watch it!

CurbsideProphet · 18/09/2022 20:27

Channel 5 is showing children's progs and films until 5pm. Makes perfect sense to me when the rest of the schedule is full of the funeral.

Maireas · 18/09/2022 20:27

True

Summerslam · 18/09/2022 20:28

I will be binge watching Ozark. If I didn't have Netflix, I'd be watching Channel 5.

God save the King.

JohnsShirt · 18/09/2022 20:28

Don't be ridiculous.

Maireas · 18/09/2022 20:29

Loads of channels showing different stuff

HaveANiceFuckingDay · 18/09/2022 20:29

Channel 5 is the biggest load of crap going. I dont even watch their crap budget Christmas films , a single woman moves to a new town with her child she meets a builder/ bookshop owner / coffee shop assistant who gets her name wrong all the time ..meets single / newly widowed dad ...insert rubbish story line here .... when they fall In love after much anst and live in a picket fenced home, drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows and Christmas twee nonsense wearing Christmas jumpers giggling while watching their child/ren and shes probably up.the duff .. rinse and repeat

x2boys · 18/09/2022 20:32

You realise not everyone cares that it's the Queens funeral?
Good for channel five ,it would have been a blessing maybe 20 years ago ,with free view, Virginia media ,Netflix etc thankfully ww don't have to watch The Queen being dead 24/7 unless we want too

gogohmm · 18/09/2022 20:33

On freeview, the other channel 4 channels have things on, several other channels have other tv. I have sky so hundreds of channels plus catch up, lots of choice

funinthesun19 · 18/09/2022 20:33

Not everyone will be watching the funeral. Kids are off school too so some parents might need an alternative for a little while.

tickticksnooze · 18/09/2022 20:33

DFOD

SavoirFlair · 18/09/2022 20:34

“Hilarious or not?”

if you have to ask…

MamMedusa · 18/09/2022 20:36

If I was stuck at home with numerous primary school age children then there's no way I'd be able to sit and watch hours & hours of coverage in peace. I remember Princess Diana's funeral, my mum put a video on upstairs for me & my brothers. Most kids aren't going to want to watch it, they'd be bored stiff.

HRTQueen · 18/09/2022 20:37

I guess it’s something for little children to watch

no big deal

Tulipvase · 18/09/2022 20:39

mournhub. Love it.

Thesearmsofmine · 18/09/2022 20:40

I think it’s a good thing, lighthearted film that kids will enjoy.

Ladybug9 · 18/09/2022 20:40

I think it's probably the balance that is needed. There are so many people in the UK suffering. Those who have just lost someone or are ill / bed bound don't want to see funerals and mourning, thank goodness there's something else on for them.
