Except Channel 5.
If you tune in to Channel 5 on Monday at 11 you should expect to see the Emoji Movie.

We didn't even get Channel 5 when it was Princess Diana's funeral. We still only had a black and white set as well.

They’ve been very clever.

They know that the kids will be home and that not everyone will be watching the funeral so will have lots of viewers.

I thought only immature teens spoke about cancelling perfectly normal things.

It’s also a great way to keep the kids entertained if you’ve got more than 1 screen.

This is so bizarre. Why on earth do you care that I'm watching something else, or just doing something completely unrelated to the Queen's funeral? Knowing that some people think like this makes me want to try and think of the least respectful thing I can think of and watch that, like a rebellious teenager. I don't even get a day off work, as I don't work Mondays, so I will do whatever I bloody well want thank you very much! I do not care about the Queen's funeral one tiny tiny tiny little bit. I shall probably just take the kids and the dog for a walk and then watch a movie with them. Take that pearl clutchers!

I think the funeral should only be shown on one terrestrial channel. 'Mournhub' is putting it very well.

I'm going to spend tomorrow making chocolate cake, playing with my cats and watching whatever the hell I want that isn't the bloody funeral.

When Diana died Ch5 was the only channel that showed children’s cartoons. I think it’s good to offer a variety on mainstream channels. Not everyone cares about a royal funeral.

Don't forget schools and childcare providers are closed, a lot of professions don't get BH off and will be working. If those parents are WFH like someone who is self employed/freelancing and can't afford the day off, they might be grateful of the TV as babysitter. Equally, older relatives who might be stepping in for childcare will need a break too!

You don't, freeview is still running normal programming, the many streaming services have box sets to watch, failing that there are millions of youtube videos if you have to watch something.

I'm beginning to think that I am alone on completely missing the funeral and don't give a shite that it is on TV as I can avoid it. There will be a lot of memory holes going on regarding this in future as for every sycophant on MN there is an equal staunch replican complaining that they have had there day time tv ruined, and from a site where everyone apparently works long hours and earns top 5% wages.

If you are missing the dross of Bargain hunt or homes under the hammer I am sure you can find your fix even on youtube.
