Tomorrow at 11… every tv channel that exists will be broadcasting the Queen’s funeral.
Except Channel 5.
If you tune in to Channel 5 on Monday at 11 you should expect to see the Emoji Movie.
hilarious or not?

Is CBeebies still running as normal tomorrow? My kids are pst that age now but surely they will just run that as usual?

wb3 · 18/09/2022 20:44

I've just checked the Freeview schedule. I counted 40 channels not showing it before I got bored.

With so much stuff on demand now the viewing choices for 11:00 am tomorrow and endless.

Also, could always turn the TV off and read a book or do one of any number of other things

nachoavocado · 18/09/2022 20:46

Good for the kids if they don't want to watch a funera

NCFT0922 · 18/09/2022 20:46

Brilliant. Great move by C5. Like you say; plenty of other channels are broadcasting it so there’s absolutely no need for yet another to join in.

Wombatbum · 18/09/2022 20:47

My 5 year old cries when the cat video gets deleted on the emoji movie. Proper tears and heartbroken sobbing 🙈 he’d probably rather watch the funeral 😂

whynotwhatknot · 18/09/2022 20:47

do you know what even better after the final procession and serivce theyre showing paddington 2

Channel 5 is the biggest load of crap going. I dont even watch their crap budget Christmas films , a single woman moves to a new town with her child she meets a builder/ bookshop owner / coffee shop assistant who gets her name wrong all the time ..meets single / newly widowed dad ...insert rubbish story line here .... when they fall In love after much anst and live in a picket fenced home, drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows and Christmas twee nonsense wearing Christmas jumpers giggling while watching their child/ren and shes probably up.the duff .. rinse and repeat

U k hon?

WhileMyGuitarGentlyWeeps · 18/09/2022 20:48

Every channel is the same. Early morning til early evening. Wall to wall Queen Elizabeth.

She reigned for 70 years and tomorrow is her funeral. The TV schedule is going to be a little messed up.

As a pp said, get a grip FGS.

Erm what’s wrong with that? My favourite genre of film 🎄🤶🏻

Kate0902900908 · 18/09/2022 20:49

I think it should be on every channel. She was the queen of England for 70 years. I think we should at least watch her funeral service and have some respect as British citizens. I’m not a royalist but I am aware this is a monumental moment for the country.

Megapint · 18/09/2022 20:51

"Hilarious or not?"
It's a pretty crap movie. I would say mildly amusing at best.

@HaveANiceFuckingDay Bah Humbug!! Shitty christmas films are the best thing about Christmas 😂😂😂 Channel 5 is only trumped by hallmark!

I have no desire to watch the funeral so won't be doing ,but she wasn't just the Queen of England she was actually the Queen of the UK and the commonwealth, but whatever ....

thenotsoeviltwin · 18/09/2022 20:57

Emojji movie it is then! Or Still Game on Netflix.
Sure they were the same during Diana's funeral. Or was it C4? One of them broadcast the Simpsons, sat and watched them with my Dad. Its the balance thats needed with kids off school and near everyone off work.
It is an important occasion but I don't see the need for every single channel to broadcast exactly the same feed.
Rock on C5!

And you state the Queen of England and then say British citizens as though they are interchangeable 🙄

Aww, I love the crap budget Christmas films! They're my go to whilst wrapping presents as something that doesn't really need watching, just having on in the background, and they kept me sane when my mum had covid in December 2020 and we were all worried about her because she's diabetic. They're suitably mindless!

PinkiOcelot · 18/09/2022 21:00

Fantastic. Good on channel 5.

Always4Brenner · 18/09/2022 21:00

Well I’m watching Henry the eighth tonight then grumpy old women at Christmas. Then talking book. Tomorrow if I get up I’ll watch bits but read in between.

Overandunderit · 18/09/2022 21:01

Good. I'll be avoiding that carnival sideshow. Good on Channel 5.

Not just channel 5 that shows these movies.

Oh good god get a grip.

Partly agree but don’t think it should be both bbc1 and bbc2. Should be a choice. Bbc2 could opt to show kids shows.

ive always been pro bbc but if they stop giving choice it’s pointless. Saturday afternoons both offer sport. And i can’t afford additional tv like Netflix

Notplayingball · 18/09/2022 21:02

Babyorbuffet · 18/09/2022 20:26

If I didn't have Netflix or Prime, I guess I would be watching the Emoji movie tomorrow.

You took the words right out of my mouth.
