The This Morning office has put out a statement saying they are attending in their capacity as broadcasters.AIBU to hope that this is the end of shrieky Holly and slimey twat Phil?

Shes utterly vacuous, cannot conduct a serous interview without dissolving into tears or giggling like a 12 year old. He is a slimey toad, more to come about him I’m sure, he only came out because a much younger runner threatened to out him. He’s so “brave” - what about his poor wife and kids.

I could sort of swallow that press reasoning if Holly and Phil were news journalists. But they are presenters on a light entertainment show and it doesn't sit right with me that the Queens rest was used for entertainment purposes.

Why does anyone feel aggrieved about this?Given we have a hierarchy with a Queen at the top, then there'll be some people in the tiers between royalty and plebs.

They're not bothering me because I never watch them. Last time I saw Schofield on telly would be when he and his then co-presenter Gordon the Gopher used to anchor children's TV, when my DC were of an age to watch that sort of thing.

I never understand why people continuously subject themselves to shows that annoy the life out of them. There are dozens on this thread alone, suggesting there must be hundreds of thousands in the country, who know they can't stand these two presenters but nevertheless switch on every day to be irritated by them. Other morning TV choices are available, failing which, radio or DVDs. By watching TM you are reinforcing the broadcaster's decision to keep using them, even if the feedback is negative. ITV don't care what you're throwing at your own screen as long as you're tuned in to their channel.

I would have more faith in Beckham's motives if he had rustled up other friends or family members, ones out of the public eye like his parents or other relatives.

Has he no local mates/childhood neighbours or pals who also had an urge to come?
The narrative that he is a solid born and bred Londoner and needed to show his respect accordingly doesn't wash.

I have no issue with people working with press having certain access for media purposes, but I find it really odd how we’ve not seen any other presenters in the laying of state with similar passes.

They can’t have exclusive access, because it’s been constantly televised so I’d love to understand how they’ve found themselves as being the only ones picked out in this way.

I’d love to be fly on the wall of the itv press office right now, I don’t think that one statement is going to do it.

I can't stand either of them so I hope you're right. They are both 'beige' presenters and have had their day. Phil says so much without saying anything meaningful. Holly seems to make the right noises but is so bland.

The only time I've watched This Morning is when Alison Hammond is on it.

Lots of television shows covered it.did they all get to fast pass it.nope.thid is such shit behaviour and doing a segment is no excuse.every program this week has run a f segment on it.that gives you no special right.and that's the thing,that they genuinely believe they have a special right.
And surely if your doing a proper segment you'd actually get in the queue do you can "actually" run a proper fact piece on it.because now once again the can't as privileged fucks empathise or give opinions on the event, with anyone as they never did it.
