To hope that this is the end of Holly & Phil on This Morning?

Absolute backlash on Twitter as it emerges that Holly & Phill queue jumped to see the queen at her lying in state. Lots of comparisons to Beckham and memes about we skip any queues.

The This Morning office has put out a statement saying they are attending in their capacity as broadcasters.AIBU to hope that this is the end of shrieky Holly and slimey twat Phil?

The dopey vacuous pair jumped the queue at the Queens funeral?
The irony it is the worst of crimes indeed.
Can't stand them but many people like their inane wittering.

I really dont get this.
Fast passes should have been, anyone whos served in Uniform. There should have been 1 session for all MPs together. Members of HM household staff, EVERYONE else...in line. Why on earth were there press passes? Smacks of entitlement.

I read Beckham declined his as he said his nan and grandad wouldnt have thought much of him for using a fast pass.

I dont pretend to know how the queen would have felt but Id hazzard a guess she propably wouldnt want the condolences of someone who ignored the common people. Poor show from those who used the fast pass.

I've wanted someone to do this on air for years. They're the tv presenting version of the mean clique at school.

the bbc report I read said they were using a press pass to access a part of the Hall that was beyond the coffin from which they would be reporting and they were walking along a sectioned off corridor which you can actually see on the pictures of the hall so not really past it at all - I have zero opinion on the two of them as presenters, people or "celebs" but if that account is accurate then there's a lot of frothing and indignation over literally nothing.

I've heard a few presenters recently defend them and basically back up the statement from This Morning- Victoria Derbyshire and Steve Allen being the most recent. But we did see them go past the coffin so can't see how they can say they didn't.

Because people are being really nasty wishing people lose their jobs and blaming them for things like the competition when clearly that wouldn't be their decision. It is a typical mob mentality of people don't like them, fair enough we don't like everyone, so blaming them for things they wouldn't blame others for.

It's a strange video of them al round, he has a face like thunder and she's furtively looking round at him. What were they actually doing there ? No doubt it will be brushed under the carpet today.
