Absolute backlash on Twitter as it emerges that Holly & Phill queue jumped to see the queen at her lying in state. Lots of comparisons to Beckham and memes about we skip any queues.

The This Morning office has put out a statement saying they are attending in their capacity as broadcasters.AIBU to hope that this is the end of shrieky Holly and slimey twat Phil?

It’s odd that there have never been any threads/comments about Holly being lovely 🤷🏻‍♀️

Were they just presenting in 2019 when they were having a laugh and a joke with Boris Johnson, just before the election? They took a selfie of themselves all with a big smile on their face.

Were they told to do that?

Was Pip told to hand David Cameron a list of names of people the internet deemed paedophiles, with no evidence at all? Or did he choose to do that himself?

Perhaps you should do some research into PS before you stick up for him. If you knew, you wouldn't be sympathetic.

Schofield and Willoughby are loved too much by producers. I reckon they'll get away with it, until the next time. I think they're on borrowed time now.

It's all to do with who they're connected to.

Schofield's daughter is his agent. She is also agent to a number of other 'celebs' who often appear on daytime ITV. Get rid of Schofield, and you also lose all the other z-list 'talent'.

Kate Garraway, Fiona Phillips and Holly Willoughby all married men who are (or were) big shots behind the scenes. Then there are those who make money from the side bar of shame in the Daily Mail, also involved in pushing certain stories and gaining publicity.

There are some good write ups out there on the internet which demonstrate exactly how it's all a very tangled web.

ITV have spent the last decade or more of using the same faces who are all connected to each other in some spurious way. If one domino falls, the rest follow and suddenly there's no one left to host the new gameshows or replace the daytime TV presenters.

I’ve never been a Beckham fan but I appreciate that life is rarely black and white, people can have good and bad characteristics, I think deep down he’s probably a decent person but he’s too often seduced by the money and PR side of things. He was asked about stepping out of the queue to skip it and spoke a bit about how his grandfather was a Royalist and wouldn’t have done that hence he wouldn’t either, he was also the reason Beckham dressed in a black suit for the occasion.

Because - Heads of State! Apart from that, a massive security risk.

philip and Holly are just tv presenters, not VIPs.

The problem is Willoughby and Schofield are not heads of state. They are former children's television presenters.

Heads of state have things to do.

If they’re not on this week as meant to be, wouldn’t that make it worse, they need to face it…but I would so love them to be gone, doubt it will happen

The worlds press was covering this, there was 24 hr viewing of it aswell. So I’ll be interested to see what film was made for This Morning. Sorry I don’t believe a word of it.

It doesn't matter if they covered it.last leg covered it.every show this week has covered it.they aren't special,they aren't journalists or reporters.they aren't from the new.they are television personalities.they should not have got special privalages either it was part of work or not.their work is a daily television show.it isn't the news.
