To be impressed that Holly and Phil queued to see the Queen

I saw on the news today that they both paid their respects. I know MPs got tickets to jump the queue which is fair enough given how busy they are running the country, but obviously run of the mills celebrities don't get that sort of treatment. We haven't seen many celebrities actually pay tribute given they wouldn't want to queue so long, so I was quite touched to see the picture of them walking through. True British gems.

They didn’t que with the general public did they ? They went in the special line that got them quick access of cause they did !! The pair of them are so self obsessed with their own self importance above anyone else’s even queuing to see the queen they think they have an entitlement not to stand in line with the rest of the country no they seemed to think they are better than the rest of us and deserve to go in the fast route unlike Suzanne Reid David beckham who stood in line with everyone else…for hours This has shown what people were already thinking about this duo that they are now out of touch and up their own behinds so much people are growing a dislike for them I mean if we have to listen anymore about how brave Phil was for coming out after 20 odd years and getting a pat on the back his wife should be the one who we should be feeling sympathy for who has lost 20 years of her life living with a man she believed loved her like she did him and it being a lie and holly she is condescending and talks about how hard work is etc but she works 4 days a week till 12:30 and has every school holiday off earning ridiculous amount of money for crying at every sad story that she ends up being the centre of attention please whoever thinks them bypassing the que to see the queen deserves any kind of recognition needs to give their head a wobble

I don't know what's funnier, you thinking they'd queue up with all the little people or you thinking it's fair enough that MP's got a 'fast track' ticket! They should have had to queue as well their time isn't any more valuable than the next person....... would have been good to see which of them would queue.

Covid and lockdown saved Philip (and Holly too for covering up a lot of his actions). It apparently was all about to become public what was going on behind the scenes at This Morning, hence the rushed coming out speech, but luckily for him a much bigger story started to take priority

She is definitely got a bit of a reputation for not being the sickly sweet persona she portrays on screen so would be quite happy if this was the thing that caused them to disappear

There was a big article about people complaining they were boring and to get then off…almost 2000 comments 🙈sm was going nuts at the week/weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️Ruth and Rylan presented, saying how good it was. I always loved Ruth & Eamon doing it, don’t mind Ruth & Rylan and think Vernon Kay is good too. P & H are my least favourite..seem to be most people’s too…something to do with H’s hubby being behind the scenes at itv? Also reckon Phillip has a bit of dirt on producers etc at ITV, it was astounding that he was kept on after all troubles behind the scenes and poor Ruth & Eamons appearances were cut to less and less…it’s obvious who the good people are in this scenario and it isn’t P & H

Hard to tell if you are being facetious or not. They didn't queue with the plebs, the lanyards are their press passes so they were in a separate queue. They were doing a segment for this morning.

I've never really understood the hatred for Phil and Holly in MN, as I haven't encountered any in RL.

I imagine the majority of people on this thread have no particularly strong feelings about 'Phil and Holly' specifically (I certainly don't). They just find the gullibility, fawning attitude and blindly parasocial relationships people like the OP have with celebrities absolutely absurd, which only makes any 'haterz gonna hate' type responses even more hilarious tbh.

One wakes up and has a cup of coffee and the madness continues - they have become the lightning rod for anger like the Queen and the flag in the Diana episode. The Crown is going to have to use a lot of cgi when they get up to the Death of The Monarch episode. I'm almost feeling sorry for them now they're not serial killers or anything just used privilege to jump a queue at an event commemorating a life of privilege. Isn't that how it works?

I don't have an opinion on them as I've never watched their programme, I would recognise him from years ago when he was on children's TV and on adverts but I wouldn't know her if I fell over her but I don't understand all the "Why is she wearing a mask." Do you think it might be because of covid? My GS got home from a festival a few weeks ago bringing covid with him and giving it to me. Lots of his friends had it as well. Being in a big crowd with people from all over the place is a great place to catch covid/flu or whatever. I think wearing a mask was sensible.

I'd be super embarrassed to be Phil and Holly and going down the special route to get in.
Becks did well standing in the queue for 12 hours, I don't mean physically ,but as probably every fucker recognised him.
It's not like he was just spotted in the local supermarket.
Thinking of my own experience of my own 12 hours in the queue, that's a long time hanging about. And to be someone everyone is looking at or probably trying to talk to.

And when you saw Becks pass the coffin, he looks knackered as you would expect.
