I'll start.

A discontinued Ginsters sandwich.(Double cheese and crack I believe)
A new Harry Potter novel written by JK Rowling herself and not co written by awful fanfiction Wannabees.
The elixir of life.
A comfortable bike seat.
An chance to play chess with the Grim Reaper aka Paddington Bear. I fancy my chances.

You might have to settle for spooning as I imagine they'd be tired too. Although I suppose they could alternate.

True.
But in my fantasy, they are excited to sleep with me, so they'll rally and find the energy. 😂

I may be overthinking this, now

YourLipsMyLipsApocalypse · 15/09/2022 17:23

A week on a very hot desert island with Ronaldo and Tommy Shelby.

maddiemookins16mum · 15/09/2022 17:30

Tickets to see Abba (if they reformed for a one off concert). But only if I was guaranteed a ticket.

britneyisfree · 15/09/2022 17:30

Argh. I thought nothing at all but possibly for a new Harry Potter - if there were no Co writers as you say.

But nah. 9 hours?!?! I really wouldn't. Maybe to meet Beyoncé and spend an hour with her lol. But to just walk by something naaah

CaptainCorellisXylophone · 15/09/2022 17:36

Obviously, winning Euro Millions ticket etc

In real life, absolutely nothing.

People queuing nine hours in order to nod at a box are cracked.

I'm struggling to think of anything much that is actually possible.

The queue to get into the Vatican was bad enough. I wasn't there to see the pope, it was for the art and architecture but we did happen to see him.

We booked breakfast there, didn't queue and had the Sistene Chapel to ourselves - Kids did not appreciate it though.

I wouldn't queue 9 hours unless it was to save the life of a close family member.

CaptainCorellisXylophone · 15/09/2022 17:39

Actually, I'd quite like to know how many people walk out thinking "Why did I do that?".

Or maybe there's too much confirmation bias for that you have effect.

ParkheadParadise · 15/09/2022 17:42

To see my Dd1 again 💔💔💔
To hear her voice
To show her Dd2
To hug her tight.
I would queue for hours/days/ to see her again.

BiggerBoat1 · 15/09/2022 17:43

A million pounds
A proper tonguey snog with George Clooney
A Macdonalds milkshake with a plastic straw that doesn't go soggy

SocksAndTheCity · 15/09/2022 17:46

Raspberry Angel Delight (discontinued Sad)

Sally99 · 15/09/2022 17:47

The winning lottery ticket for millions

TimBoothseyes · 15/09/2022 17:47

To say a proper goodbye to my mum (she died 31st March 2020 in hospital so we couldn't be with her at the end).

Oblomov22 · 15/09/2022 17:47

Nothing. Seriously nothing. I can't think of anything I'd queue that long for.

3rdOfHisNameBreakerOfPens · 15/09/2022 17:48

Any amount of money greater than nine hours' salary, to be honest. If I've got a book, headphones, snacks and a folding chair, nine hours is no bother really.

Actually you are quite right. I would want a bit more than my salary but I could totally hang around for 9hrs for cash if I had a chair, a book, headphones, phone and a picnic, plus weather appropriate clothing.

Call it a grand tax free to make it worthwhile giving up a day off. I'd do that.

Sorry OP didn't mean to bring the thread down

On a lighter side I'd queue for 9 hours for a tub of cheesy footballs and a chance to recreate the final scene in Bugsy Malone. 😅

SouperNoodle · 15/09/2022 17:58
  • a month in disneyworld
  • tbh a holiday anywhere
  • a lottery win
Partypoooooper · 15/09/2022 17:59

Back in 2020 a Tesco delivery slot.

Umbrellabee · 15/09/2022 18:02

Any amount of money 10k plus
An hour with my grandad and niece (they have passed away)
A holiday minus my kids
Demise of the Tory party

VioletCharlotte · 15/09/2022 18:02

I was thinking about this earlier. I'm a HUGE FooFighters fan, but I wouldn't queue for 9 hours for tickets. Dinner with Dave Grohl...possibly!

Other than that, it would have to be a vast sum of money. I can't think of anything else I would queue that long for.

RichardMarxisinnocent · 15/09/2022 18:04

Wimbledon Centre court tickets. I have queued for many hours on many occasions for those. Longest was about 36 hours.
