Is a size 14 viewed as overweight?

Just reading online that uk size 16 is the average size of a uk woman right now. Im a size 14 and 5ft 3 so always felt overweight anyway but in reality would you view someone as a size 14 overweight? For me anyone who can fit into a size 10 would be considered slim although I know clothes sizes come up different depending on shop. Just curious what dress size people on here buy and if they consider themselves overweight.

It really depends on your height at 5' you'd be obese but at. 5'10 you'd probably be a nice size.

I'm 5'7 and heading down to a 16 in all shops, I'm definitely fat

I'm size 14 and I'm definitely overweight.

Yes. Unless its allll on the hips, thighs and boobs and the tummy is flat. But I've only known 1 or 2 people who are a 14 with a flat tummy.

I'm a 12 and 5'9. I'm average and consider myself a healthy weight. I dont have anything close to a flat tummy. I dont have a particularly nice shape either. But I'm healthy and I respect that me and my body are worthwhile and valuable and have more to offer than whether we are attractive. Strive for health, not perfection.

I have put on weight recently and getting on for a size 14, im 5ft 4, my BMI is over 25 and I definitely look overweight. Obviously if I was 5ft 7 and same weight I'd be ok. My friend was 5ft10 and looked really skinny, she was a size 12 but looked about an 8.

I'm also 5'3 and my breasts are DD, which for me is relevant as I feel curvy rather than fat. No idea what my BMI is but I am comfortable at size 12 and don't like being a 12/14, if it gets to that point I usually cut out takeaways, cut down on carbs and alcohol until I can zip up my jeans again with no muffin top.

I wish you all the best OP
