It’s so shit, if you stay at home with your kids or work part time, society see’s you as nothing as so does your employer. If you have a great job and work full time you are a shit mum. So not fair

It's true, society devalues all women's contributions and there is a huge attack on motherhood at the moment.

Women who want to be full time mothers to her children are demonised as being lazy layabouts!

Being a mother is a very high calling and a very difficult job to do.

We are expected to do paid employment AND be full time mothers and house keepers these days. There are so many expectations on mothers and I totally agree OP, it is draining and upsetting when we are forced to choose between being a full time mother and our careers.

They said to us at school, "you can have it all!"

But what they meant was "you will have to do it all".

Women are exhausted.
