Had my Limit on the Weird Neighbours

User57327259 · 29/08/2022 21:01

I have had a couple of Threads on here about the issues I have with some neighbours. On both threads over 80% said I was not being unreasonable. They have really annoyed me with their carry on now. I am trying to think of a way of getting an end to this carry.
I have spoken to Police and Social Work. I am disabled and as such that is a Protected Characteristic. It is supposedly illegal to treat me badly. This is also a recorded diary of the conduct by official parties. The Management Company are also aware.
The last suggestion from the Police was that I should tell my relatives. At first I thought this was not an idea to be considered but as this constant harassment continues I am reconsidering that option. I will not be hanging around if that is the only viable option
I think that there is possibility that this is a mental health issue causing their conduct however that may be me being too kind to bad people. They might be just nasty all the way through. I am now thinking of contacting the local GP Surgeries to try to have them investigate. I am very worried and scared living with the uncertainty of what they are going to do next.
I feel that I am about to be unable to stay in my house safely and without fear. They are totally irrational.
Would writing to the GP be a good option ?

You need to provide more detail. It's not illegal to treat someone badly, I don't know who told you that, and what constitutes as badly differs from person to person anyway. What are they doing to you?

SuperSange · 29/08/2022 21:09

I have, quite literally, no idea what you're talking about. Pp is correct though, it's not illegal to treat you badly.

crunchieroxks · 29/08/2022 21:12

Not really sure what you mean to be honest.
But
Please don't bother the GP with this. It's not their job to investigate.

If you have spoken to the Police already then perhaps following their advice of telling your family is the best idea.

I'm sorry but I haven't seen your previous threads.
The only issue that I have with your post is , although disability is protected with regard to work and access, it doesn't mean that someone can't bully you . By that , I mean that if someone is a mean person, then they can be mean to whoever they choose.
It doesn't make it right but harassing you as a neighbour is plain harassment. Being disabled doesn't top trump your right to live without harassment.
I'm sorry if I've not made myself clear.

It would be really helpful if you could explain your situation. Than we could be better able to offer some advice.

NewBootsAndRanty · 29/08/2022 21:18

What action do you expect a GP surgery to take? What kind of investigation do you want them to do??

TerrysGotPeeves · 29/08/2022 21:19

What exactly do you want your GP to 'investigate'?

sorry you're having a hard time with your neighbours. What sort of things are they doing? Why don't you want to tell your relatives - do you have any you are close to?

PonyPatter44 · 29/08/2022 21:23

Don't be ridiculous, of course you can't ask the GP to "investigate ". You were given plenty of good advice on your other two threads, why are you posting rubbish about investigations now?

HappyHamsters · 29/08/2022 21:25

Its not illegal but we dont know what They have done so do you think jts a hate crime or harrassment. What are the police doing to help you, what can your relatives do to help.

Irridescantshimmmer · 29/08/2022 21:26

Harassment is what you are suffering from so I would advise you to ring the Citizens advice bureau who will help you get some help with the idiot nieghbours you have.

I see what you did there! 😉

HappyHamsters · 29/08/2022 21:28

Can you link your other threads so we can see what advice we might give

ThinWomansBrain · 29/08/2022 21:28

Sorry that you have difficult neighbours, but their health is a matter between them and their GP.
Why under any circumstances would their GP discuss it with you; any more than your GP wouls discuss your health or any personal details with them.
How do you even know who their GP is?

Maybe the police suggested discussing it with relatives because they thought it would be helpful for you to have an outlet to discuss the situation?

User57327259 · 29/08/2022 21:29

No they are not making faces at the Ring door camera.

By being disabled and saying so I am indicating their level. They did not have anything to say to the large male person who actually did what seems to have triggered them into upping their carry on.
Police have no idea what to expect if I told my family. I don't like being around my family when they are angry about something.
I do not see it as acceptable if a person has an illness they have the right to make life miserable for any other person. Of course they could just be nasty and deserve all they get. The GP would be the person who could diagnose a physical or mental health problem, not police, social services or anyone else me included.

FredaFox · 29/08/2022 21:30

I'm still not clear on what the issue is tbh

chillipenguin · 29/08/2022 21:31

Unfortunately I don't think the GP is going to help. They'd only see you not them.

Snazzysausage · 29/08/2022 21:33

But what are they actually doing? It's hard to advise without knowing.

HappyHamsters · 29/08/2022 21:33

Its hard as we dont know what they have done but the police and social workers may have contacted their gp if they feel they have mh issues and are a danger to you. Have you spoken to your gp.

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 29/08/2022 21:34

So a man did something to upset them and they thought it was you and now they are harassing you?
