To not really like it when men post on here?

Just that really. After reading not one but two bullshit threads started by men in the last few days I’m just a bit sick of them posting on here. I love mumsnet. I’ve read interesting threads, hilarious ones, heartbreaking and sometimes infuriating ones and I just feel like saying ‘oh piss off’ every time a bloke sticks their neb in. It’s MUMSnet ffs. I know I am being unreasonable really and am a massive hypocrite as I’m not (yet) a mum myself haha and don’t actually contribute anything of value to this site myself but still….they get on my tits.

OP posts:

Its called sticking up for yourself.I think we'll both agree this arguments went too far.

Nah dude, it's something else. And I'll thank you not to tell me what I'm thinking.

I repeat that you could always leave the discussion, in fact you told me quite some time ago that you wouldn't be replying.

You aren't going to take anything useful from the discussion about attitudes towards women. But it's hard to see what you get out of continuing to embarrass yourself.

Ooh. Temper, temper…

😆

Good news! You’re not interested? Excellent so do go away. You’re tedious.

BuenaVistaAntisocialClub · 22/08/2022 14:44

On a similar theme I really don’t like it when female posters bring up their husband’s career path in job or salary related threads.

So many work related threads relate specifically to the fact that the OP is female and so has a particular set of circumstances e.g has been out of the workplace for 5 years as a SAHM, or needs a role that fits in with school pick-ups.

And loads of women will reply with details of their husbands earnings or career path, despite the fact he’s not had to manage his career around being the main caregiver for his children. When surely the whole reason the OP has posted on mumsnet is to hear from individuals who have faced similar challenges.

Yes but those women have a right to post here. Their husbands, wives or partners are connected via them. This weirdo isn’t. He’s just stalking.🤮

I dont think theres anything wrong with my attitude and if replying to snide remarks makes me a dickhead then so be it.All ive done is answer snide remarks.

user73783 · 22/08/2022 14:51

I dont doubt what youre saying but fortunately not all men are the same.

Thank fuck for that Paul because if they were all like you I'd be looking for a female commune. Yes Paul you're a very big and clever man, look how assertive you are exerting your entitlement to be in a female centred space, how funny you are for carrying on the argument and well and truly outstaying your welcome. It's hilarious, it's groundbreaking, gotta love Paul. Is this the female attention you required or do you need a bit more?

Cam22 · 22/08/2022 14:51

You’re pathetic.

Cam22 · 22/08/2022 14:52

To clarify:

You’re pathetic, you stalker.

There is. It does. You are. It isn't.

I'm getting vibes familiar from my toddler fighting bedtime.

And you know how pointless it was telling them they were overtired....

Don't encourage it, please.

One can tell he’s the sort who sidles up to groups of women in pubs - as someone else suggested. How awful to have such low self esteem that you would barge in with your puerile comments where you are not wanted.

It’s laughable and deeply repulsive.

As a man, reading this thread with horror, I feel I ought to write in flowery language and explain my credentials first! (I'm here because my DW suggested I could answer some very specific questions to help a poster ages ago, and I stay for the interesting range of views.)

Hey, you said it, not me.

Ok, women confronting your horrible attitude to death threats are just snide. Right. And you consider your endless engagement to be "sticking up for yourself" because what's right is right. OK.

But you expect us to believe that if someone were to threaten right now to find you, castrate you, slit your throat and violate your body, you wouldn't take it very seriously? You'd just shrug it off? It would be less of an issue than what's happening now?

Really?
