To not really like it when men post on here?

Just that really. After reading not one but two bullshit threads started by men in the last few days I’m just a bit sick of them posting on here. I love mumsnet. I’ve read interesting threads, hilarious ones, heartbreaking and sometimes infuriating ones and I just feel like saying ‘oh piss off’ every time a bloke sticks their neb in. It’s MUMSnet ffs. I know I am being unreasonable really and am a massive hypocrite as I’m not (yet) a mum myself haha and don’t actually contribute anything of value to this site myself but still….they get on my tits.

I'm a bloke. Must be honest I don't think I'd heard of Mumsnet till about 2019. One of my kids recommended it after we all got cancelled for some Potter related comments on FB. It's been a good resource and an oasis of sanity in these strange times.

Usually just try to follow Craicnet and FWR. But must admit AIBU can get addictive if you're not careful. Overall , I sometimes feel as if I've been transported back to my childhood , when I realised that comics like Bunty were more intelligent than the stuff they aimed at us boys.

Thing is Renee, for all the ones who behave just as you say, there are a bunch more who don't shout about it, but read and learn.

I dont like getting into daft arguments online and getting accused of things.Maybe theres been a misunderstanding but i will no longer reply to nonsense .

I suppose I have issue with men who are dicks posting on the forum, while I am more tolerant of the women being dicks on occasion.

I suppose I expect men to come in and be polite, as if they are guests!

To be fair I think most men have heard comments about balls being cut off, and most people think it's funny to hit a man in the genitals.

I even knew a headteacher who made such comments to all male staff she appointed, until she said it to an 18 year old whose dad then complained to the governing body...

Fair point as well, but I can see why some blokes try and preempt this by setting out their stall early before they reveal themselves to be a twat in some other way.

Men have threatened to cut up my genitals and throat online. Actually, on one occasion one of them even described what he was going to do to my body afterwards, but believe it or not, I was actually trying not to let the conversation get too awful.

Has anyone had the misfortune of stumbling across the “Online Sex Chat” thread on the sex forum? Now that is grim! Man after man wanting to engage with women off here into sex chat with them! I am very surprised that mumsnet has allowed that thread to continue. Loads of them are married men just looking for online kicks.

I agree. All the 'bye' and 'have a nice day' stuff is just strange.

I think calling someone a dickhead and a creep is far more aggressive than anything i have said.I can assure you i am very calm but i will defend myself especially when i get shit thrown at me.
