To wonder why men hate women so much?

Violence againt women, sexual harrasment.

Controlling women bodies.

Women’s sexuality: frigid prude if you don’t want sex, slut if you.

Porn, sex ”work”.

All the MRA’s, mgtow, incels etc.

Even historically speaking they have no reason to be angry at women, women never had any power, mostly tried to accommodate to men’s demand/ wants, I think it still goes on.

Many women still tip toe the line to placate men.

What reason do they have to be so angry at women?

@Suetodo88 you don't get it do you? These things were created by men because women were prevented from participating equally in society.
How dare you call me old fashioned. I've dedicated my entire career to promoting equality for women in education and career development. I think I know a little bit about it.

DandyLandy · 07/08/2022 18:08

@Suetodo88

That makes 0 sense

Surely the push to hire women would make the business less successful?

Also if you read the data it's clear that there is incremental increase in success as their gender gap closes.

@DandyLandy

It makes perfect sense. The more successful a company is the more they wish to maintain their image and a part of that in the modern world is a gender equal look. So the more success they have the more you would expect them to be equal on a superficial level. But you can bet it’s still the Zuckerberg or whoever else telling his Sandburg what to do.
It would make no difference if those companies were gender equal, the only reason they do it is out of fear of blowback not because they rule believ it increases success because it doesn’t.

Sloth66 · 07/08/2022 18:20

It’s really only a comparatively short time ago that women gained more freedom and opportunities, in fields such as employment and education. To me it’s about power and status, and whilst many men will pay lip service to equality and opportunity, many more are not happy at losing all male spaces, and having women as colleagues and perceived rivals.
when I worked in a largely male office in the City some years back, it was an eye opener listening to some of the conversations. Some of these men mocked women and had no respect for them at all.

DandyLandy · 07/08/2022 18:21

@Suetodo88

I'm not surprised you're a SAHM as you have not an iota of a clue on how to interpret the data presented in the McKinsey study.

By the 88 in your username I'm gathering you're an older woman, thankfully life and outlook in work for younger women are far better than they have ever been

You still haven't answered posters asking when a man has ever been forced to hire a woman to his business or whether you'd advocate for your sons to become SAHDs

@brookstar An all female university sounds quite interesting to me. Perhaps it could prioritise women's research to make up for all the years we have missed out.

@gnilliwdog

This is what I mean. What is so wrong if somethings are all men or women. People are equating that to me saying that means women will have nothing but that’s their lack of self belief in women talking not mine.
I say let our wild and Wacky differences come out and see what we can really do. It beats the idea of this bland everyone forced into worker drone world of the moment in my eyes.

People ignore the positive possibilities out of a pointless obsession with achieving zero pay gap.

Topgub · 07/08/2022 18:23

Topgub · 07/08/2022 18:24

Will you encourage your sons to be sahds?

perfectstorm · 07/08/2022 18:24

DandyLandy · 07/08/2022 18:09

It is terrible to be a SAHM

It's not a valued profession

It adds nothing to society as a whole

It only acts to harm women and girls and perpetuate gender stereotypes

It may be harmful to women and girls in financial vulnerability terms, but it's certainly not true that it adds nothing to society.

DandyLandy · 07/08/2022 18:25

@perfectstorm it adds nothing to society

Name one benefit to society SAHMs provide

Topgub · 07/08/2022 18:25

@perfectstorm

What does being a sahm add to society?

@brookstar

Which is why we should make more original things rather than simply try to adapt whatever men make to use it. Both so we are assured of a opportunity and because we owe it to ourselves to do more than simply ape whatever men do.

If we don’t try how can we say things were created by men because women didn’t have the chance? Here I am saying now women have a chance we should create more and you are coming up with reasons why women should create nothing and just try to use what men make and continue to make. See the issue?

I find that attitude old fashioned because it seems to me just a new way of using men as providers but apparently against their will. I’m a SAHM but I know what I’m doing, who I am and why I do it. I’m very much a modern thinker. I can’t see the same here.

DandyLandy · 07/08/2022 18:28

@Suetodo88 and creating their own businesses worked great for black people in America didn't it Hmm

Segregation isn't the way to equality

Suetodo88 · 07/08/2022 18:28

@Suetodo88

Maybe once long ago some women in some society were like “hey should we go out beyond that mountain and start a school of our own or something” and then some other woman said “no we need to stay here and continue to rely on what men give us”. That is how I see the attitude your taking to this. Sorry.

Suetodo88 · 07/08/2022 18:29

@DandyLandy

Race isn’t equivalent to gender in any way.

Mally100 · 07/08/2022 18:29

Agrudge · 07/08/2022 12:08

Many women allow themselves to get treated poorly by not speaking up or walking away from a bad relationship

many many many woman go after the bad boys. They like the excitement. Then with a straight face act shocked when he fucks them over

  • *by this point alot of the decent men have been taken and all that's left are aesholes and the cycle continues

Agree with this. Look at the countless threads here for a start.

In some ways I agree with you that I don't see it as progress for women to have equality under systems created by men, for men's benefit. I suppose the idea is that women will gradually change these systems to become more beneficial to women.

DandyLandy · 07/08/2022 18:30

Suetodo88 · 07/08/2022 18:29

@DandyLandy

Race isn’t equivalent to gender in any way.

It is when you're advocating for doing the same thing black men and women were forced to do in America. Which didn't help foster equality.

The same principle would apply to all women having to start their own businesses instead of joining existing ones

The 88? Its 1988? I hope 34 isn’t considered that old.

Please provide your links to scientific studies that disprove that having more women in business makes it more successful

Given you are arguing against a scientific study I am assuming you have more evidence than your opinion

Topgub · 07/08/2022 18:33

But you must be aware that most dad's aren't taking a year out?

Most go back after a few weeks?

Do you find thar cruel too?

Loads of women have started school over the years. loads of women start businesses, No one is saying they shouldn't

But sex segregated workplaces, really, how utterly bizarre

Suetodo88 · 07/08/2022 18:34

@DandyLandy

If my sons or any other men want to become stay at home dads I’m fine with that. I think it’s wonderful men who are inclined that way have the chance to do that now. Why wouldn’t I encourage it? I’m great lol so why shouldn’t someone aspire to be like me?🤭

I just find it unlikely that equal numbers of men will be inclined toward that role. And that’s ok too. Just so long as those who are aren’t looked down on

Nothappyatwork · 07/08/2022 18:34

Literally back in the day the hand that rocked the cradle ruled the world. We used to worship mother nature, only the church was then invented, who wanted to control society realise that wasn’t gonna work for them so they started to burn as all as witches or drown us I believe. Lots of men have never really moved on from that in my limited experience from online dating etc.

They absolutely do not consider us their equals in the workplace or potentially their betters when they’re reporting into us. I had one guy literally a week ago describing the female manager as only having got the job because she’s missing something between the legs. This man would’ve been 32, professional role, married, couple of kids.
