Not really my AIBU, but whilst it was quite amusing for 10 minutes the mexican stand off outside my house is starting to do my head in

Live in a small village, with small lanes, our lane is pretty narrow but the only straight one that the farmers can use to access the fields at the bottom.

The two farmers who own the land are two brothers who fell out when their parents died years ago, and have not spoken since.

Brother A coming up the lane with his combine. Brother B coming down the lane with his tractor and trailer, neither will reverse to allow the other to pass, this has now been 20 minutes and all I can hear is horns beeping, and the farmers shouting insults at each other via a third party (one of our neighbours) cars are having to reverse back onto the village green and access via another lane.

Brother B needs to be detained too. Both are causing the obstruction, not one alone.

Now my question is which vehicle will be reversing!

What if, just to make a point, one of the brothers decides to 'lose' the keys before the specialist agricultural machinery removal officers arrive?

Can you jump start a combine? We need to know.

Pitchforks, please, have your dogs at the ready. Away we go!

On the very rare occasion that I need to park on the grass verge outside my house you can guarantee that the combine will need to get down the lane (there is enough room for tractor & trailer). The farmer and his escort will get out and chat about how it won't fit through. It's normally about 3-4ft too narrow!But never, NEVER will they knock on the door to ask me to move the car. I just end up hearing the noise and go out. You have my sympathies OP!

Brother B now out and detained but still have fookin combine tractor and trailer outside my house waiting on someone who can actaully move them dh in pub thinks its ace that its so quiet in the pub probably going to go up for food and hope lane is cleared when I get back girls think it is hysterical

How have they got time for this nonsense! Round here farmers are working night and day at the moment, tractors and trailers going backwards and forwards past my house until 11 o'clock last night. Bloody children 😡
