Class is down to which breakfast you eat

Your status in life is down to which breakfast you eat, not what car you drive or how much you earn

but the type of food you eat for the first meal of the day

white sliced toast with chic spread is working class

sour dough and marmalade is middle class

upper class is soldier and dippy egg

aristocracy is cereal served from a Tupperware 😉

What about an egg with rice and soy sauce? Worked with a Korean woman who introduced me to this breakfast and I can safely say it is truly a breakfast of Kings but I always thought eggs and rice were pauper food?

Cup of tea and a spliff :) poor class here 😂

Hey neighbour.👋👋👋😄

Toasted wheten or soda bread with sliced bananas or toasted fruit soda with cheese. Loads of butter of course and a big mug of tea.

Can you guess what I am?

Decidualcast · 29/07/2022 23:33

Two weetabix (cheap supermarket own brand), mashed banana, mixed with warm milk. It’s a wonderfully fibrous and gloopy mush. It is followed by Yorkshire Gold tea bags. Both served in Denby crockery. What does that make me?

Famousinlove · 29/07/2022 23:36

Costa - Millenial who can't afford to buy a house due to said breakfast?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 29/07/2022 23:43

Do I get an extra class point if my bread is made overnight in the Panasonic ?

FayeGovan · 29/07/2022 23:43

Pakora out the bin?

CrapBag39 · 29/07/2022 23:52

Monster munch and a can of tango for me, height of sophistication.

alphons · 29/07/2022 23:53

Who the fuck decants cereal into a Tupperware box? Apart from HM obvs.

And why??

SeriousAlligator · 29/07/2022 23:54

2 large decaff coffees with low-carb low-cal creamer. Occasionally a cream cracker or popadum if I'm especially hungry.
The creamer is £9 a bloody tub. Surely that makes me the landed gentry. Wink

Theres a lot of bread going on there
What about us simple porridge people?

Simple porridge people are us Scots I think. We’re in a class of our own😁
I eat tinned mackerel, cucumber and salad leaves at 11.00am. I’m a trail blazer😉

sassafras123 · 29/07/2022 23:56

Marmite toast food of the Gods, I want some now.
Or leftover curry on toast. Yum !

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 29/07/2022 23:56

Soya yogurt with homemade fig and blackberry compote using our own figs and blackberries. With honey from our own hives.
Black coffee

Despite the above we live in a London suburb 🤣🤣
I feel like a MN cliché

We are Highlanders!
Above all Class nonsense ..

covilha · 29/07/2022 23:58

What about blueberries and Greek yoghurt?

Hawkins001 · 30/07/2022 00:00

Normally, two cuppas.

If enough time, porridge or fried eggs, on toast.

viques · 30/07/2022 00:02

upper class is grilled kidneys and scrambled eggs or kedgeree served from covered silver dishes that the under butler has laid out on the Sheraton side table.

Does no one remember Downton ?

PlainJaneSuperBrain99 · 30/07/2022 00:03

Pretty sure a mutual hatred of the term "dippy egg" unites all the classes.

People with regular mouse infestations.

ChezVous77 · 30/07/2022 00:07

Dippy egg is a revolting expression.
Mice can and do chew through tupperware which I would have said is something used by disorganised workers who eat breakfast at their desks with a plastic spoon for maximum laziness.

dutysuite · 30/07/2022 00:10

Shit and sugar

AchatAVendre · 30/07/2022 00:13

I have a Kitkat most days. At weekends I either have bran flakes or a bit of trout with toast and a poached egg [confused}

SilentBob · 30/07/2022 00:13

I'm a very large strong coffee and 2 B & H kinda gal before I make my way to work as...a chef.

I'm not sure what that makes me in terms of a) class and b) level of chef (I don't know about you but I'm picturing an American short order cook with a cig hanging from my mouth as I ding the bell and yell 'order up!' In a truck stop in Milwaukee.)

TwoOwlSocks · 30/07/2022 00:15

I have cereal in a bowl with orange juice poured over. Saves on a separate glass. I have to load my own dishwasher do my own washing up since the scullery maid gave notice.

I think that makes me variable class.

CharlotteOH · 30/07/2022 00:17

Well it seems I change social class on a daily basis, fascinating
