but the type of food you eat for the first meal of the day

white sliced toast with chic spread is working class

sour dough and marmalade is middle class

upper class is soldier and dippy egg

aristocracy is cereal served from a Tupperware 😉

Espresso & cigarette= Posted too soon/drunk
Brown bread & vegan butter = middle-class hippy
Jugged kippers = proper foncy / lord of the manor type

Ooh I like this. Last week dd had white toast with chocolate spread one morning, and egg and soldier's the following morning. We are clearly migrating up the classes!

So, dh has crumpets when he comes in from dog walk. And coffee.
I have cereals and coffee.
Dd has something poncy like avo on bagel, or croissant and Nutella (lived with French family for two years) Tea.
ds has an energy drink when he gets in from night shift. If hungry as much bacon as he can fit in the air fryer.
So what are we?

Well as the name suggests we come under upper/aristocracy. I do love a dippy egg with soldiers, the dc have cereal from tupperware.

All the bacon = salt of the earth type
Energy drink= road man
Croissant & Nutella= aspirational metrosexual
Crumpets = delusional

There is a clear divide in my family!
The DC are clearly Aristocrats while the parents are working (DH) and middle class (myself)

Today - breakfast bar thing = probably scum
Tomorrow - could be mcdonalds = definitely scum
Day after - definitely tupperware cereal, served in the bone china dish ive had since I was 2 - posher than the queen
Day after that - who knows that might as well be next year. Probably go to work on an egg saddles up the egg, takes it for a quick canter around the breakfast room

Actually talked about Gooseberries to my colleague and a customer the other day, we were naming all the berries we could think of, and I remembered a long life gooseberry yoghurt I used to eat as a kid, not for brekkie though, so I wasn't posh 😂😂
