Close friend is 40 years old and is dating at 19 year old male.

Have advised her that i find this to be strange and creepy.

What are your thoughts on this?

I had a very brief liaison with a very mature art student who was younger than my kids at the time . I find it slightly embarrassing to be used as a bragging right for a bloke half your age, which is probably the case. Even if he was mid 20s, the age gap wouldn't be so bad, at least you might have something to chat about.

Nope. It's just a made up thing! Does anyone actually know any 19 year olds? That's not including mums of them. This is not a meeting of minds for either of them. Plus I'll go out on a limb and say this is totally different than a 40 year old man and a 19 year old girl.

I'm 50 . Too crass for me and blocked but my mature art student and I had a bigger age gap than ops friend . And he was fabulous. It depends on the individuals concerned. I was late 40s and he was early 20s . Far more mature than most men I've met since tbh . I'm wearing well for my age . No wrinkles . And he looked older .
My best friend is 17 years older than her husband and they've been together 30 years 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I met DH when he was 19 and I was 30. We've been married for 23 years.

We had lots of nasty, judgy comments in the early days of our relationship, too. Same sort of bolllocks that's on this thread.

They're both adults and it's nobody's business what they get up to.
