Husband getting haircut from another woman

Am I losing my mind over nothing or did he cross a line?
My husband spent the night at his brothers house and the next day came home with a new haircut (terrible buzz cut, one length all the way round, looks like a kiwi fruit).
I asked him who did it and he said it was his brothers girlfriend. She’s no hairdresser. The haircuts I’ve given him in the past were just as bad but at least I did them. I’ve always said she’s a little too friendly with my husband. A bit of a pick me girl. He’s never seen it and never shown any interest during family gatherings.
I feel betrayed. I feel embarrassed. Surely she thought that she’s better than me and that I’m a useless wife that can’t even cut my husbands hair?! She’s a nice girl and we get on but I feel like that kind of stuff should be done by me or the hairdresser. No one else. Maybe his mum if push comes to shove. Why not go to the barber or ask me? Why ask her? I’m so upset and he’s saying I’m overreacting.

Wow my sister in law (brothers wife) gave DH a haircut after lockdown when it was difficult to get into the barbers. She’s not a hairdresser just a lot more skilled with the clippers than me - I was just grateful!

I cut my BIL’s hair once and I didn’t sleep with him. Hope that makes you feel better 😜

Beercrispsandnuts · 24/07/2022 17:35

oh My 😂

nca · 24/07/2022 17:36

Yeah you're over reacting

barnowltwittwoo · 24/07/2022 17:37

I’m only here for the deletion message. This has to be a wind up.

WhiskeyInTheJar33 · 24/07/2022 17:37

You're overreacting! It's just a hair cut!

Travis1 · 24/07/2022 17:38

Christ 😳 does my MIL think I’m coming onto FIL because I cut his hair

PortalooSunset · 24/07/2022 17:41

Betrayed and embarrassed? Because your brother's girlfriend cut his hair? Wtaf?!

Is his name Samson?

CallOnMe · 24/07/2022 17:41

No wonder hairdressers always look so happy 😁

OnaBegonia · 24/07/2022 17:43

I feel betrayed. I feel embarrassed.
Jesus wept because his brothers GF cut his hair?
I'm sorry but you sound nuts.

lennylion · 24/07/2022 17:45

Unless she manscaped him with her teeth I don't see an issue

HintofVintagePink · 24/07/2022 17:46

You feel betrayed and embarrassed. Is the haircut really that bad that you can no longer be seen with him or something?
Seriously OP, unless she did it astride his lap I really don’t see an issue

housemaus · 24/07/2022 17:54

This is batshit. You are VERY DEFINITELY overreacting.

lailamaria · 24/07/2022 17:56
  1. it's his hair why do you care what it looks like
  2. it's a haircut not a kiss on the mouth i think you're way overreacting
FastFood · 24/07/2022 17:58

You're overreacting but I give you some points for the kiwi comparison.

Tessie87 · 24/07/2022 17:59

TheCrowening · 24/07/2022 16:05

Yes you’re overreacting. It’s his hair, not his dick.

😂

Lovelystuff · 24/07/2022 17:59

Lochjeda · 24/07/2022 18:01

You can no be serious. Of course this is a MASSIVE overreaction. She was cutting his hair not wanking him off, calm down.

catfunk · 24/07/2022 18:03

You sound absolutely batshit Confused

FOJN · 24/07/2022 18:04

You describe her as a "pick me girl" but then go on to say she obviously thinks she's better than you and she must think you are a useless wife. You also think it's only you or a hairdresser who should cut your hands hair, why? Does your husband get a say in what happens to HIS hair or it he simply at the mercy of all the women around him competing for his attention?

I think it's possible your description of her as a "pick me girl" might be a bit of projection.

FOJN · 24/07/2022 18:05

husband's obv not hands bloody autofuckup

sunsetsandsandybeaches · 24/07/2022 18:09

DH's brothers' wife always cuts his hair.

I should have left him years ago Grin

GoT1904 · 24/07/2022 18:10

Why is having his hair cut a betrayal? And why is it about you? Blagged.

JePréfèreLesChiens · 24/07/2022 18:11

I agree that feeling betrayed and embarrassed is a very OTT reaction.

But if you were married/in a relationship and someone had been flirting with you or had been over friendly, would you really let them cut your hair if they weren’t a hairdresser? I wouldn’t. I’ve definitely known men and women who would enjoy feeling like they’ve got one over on the partner of the person that they’ve been flirting with. As the person being flirted with, it’s best not to give them the opportunity.

But again, I wouldn’t feel betrayed or embarrassed, I’d just roll my eyes as it’s the person being over friendly that comes off as a bit desperate in my experience.
